Pokemon Go Taken Over event start date
The “Takeover Event” during The Adventure Week will take place from August 8, 2024 at midnight until August 12, 2024 at 11:59 pm in the local time.
2024’s Adventure Week kicks off on the 2nd of August and runs through until the 12th. That means there will be plenty of activities happening simultaneously during these ten days.

1. During the upcoming event in Pokémon GO, Shadow Cresselia will make its first appearance. To acquire this unique Pokémon, trainers must triumph over Team Go Rocket’s leader, Giovanni. The adventure begins with a fresh Special Research storyline, granting players a Super Rocket Radar to locate and confront the elusive boss.
Instead of them, Team Rocket Grunts will acquire three new Shadow Pokemon: Shadow Timburr, Shadow Tirtouga, and Shadow Archen. Keep an eye on their rosters as these rare species need to be saved from their grasp.
