As a seasoned gamer and avid Pokemon GO trainer, I can’t help but feel my heart racing with excitement as I read about the upcoming Adventure Week event in August. Having played this game since its inception, I have grown to appreciate the unique events Niantic creates for us trainers, and the focus on Rock-type and Fossil Pokemon is no exception.

During August, Pokemon GO‘s Adventure Week event is back! This annual occasion from Pokemon GO puts the spotlight on Rock-type and Fossil Pokemon. Last year’s Adventure Week brought about the first appearance of Shiny Tyrunt and Amaura in Niantic’s game, accompanied by numerous other engaging activities for trainers.

Rock-type Pokemon are known for being great defenders, and some of these critters, such as Gigalith, Aggron, and Tyranitar, can be found in Pokemon GO. Meanwhile, Fossil Pokemon are one of the most interesting aspects of the franchise, corresponding to a group of prehistoric creatures that can be revived using the right technology. These creatures are also present in Pokemon GO, and players can encounter some of the more popular names, such as Kabuto, Omanyte, and Aerodactyl. Now, Rock-type and Fossil Pokemon will be back in the spotlight with the upcoming Pokemon GO event.

The 2024 version of Adventure Week in Pokemon GO is set to begin on August 2 at 10 am and conclude on August 12 at 11:59 pm, according to recent announcements. During this period, Diglett and Bunnelby, among other Pokemon, will be more prevalent in the wild. Fortunate players might even come across Aerodactyl. Hatching 7 km Eggs during Adventure Week will yield Cranidos, Shieldon, Tirtouga, Archen, Tyrunt, and Amaura. Additionally, Field Research tasks with themes related to the event will result in encounters with Tirtouga, Archen, Roggenrola, and nine other Pokemon, as well as Aerodactyl’s Mega Energy.

As a dedicated Pokémon GO fan, I’m thrilled about the excitement we experienced in July with the arrival of Mega Lucario. But August is shaping up to be just as amazing! Five-star raids will bring us Moltres, Thundurus Incarnate Forme, and Xerneas. Mega raids, on the other hand, will feature Aerodactyl, Kangaskhan, and Salamence. And get this – Poplio is August’s Community Day Pokémon! We have a Classic Community Day lined up, as well as a special event for the Pokémon World Championship. Can’t wait to explore these new adventures!
