Niantic unveiled new changes for the Pokemon GO Might and Mastery Battle League, as well as revised guidelines for the Great League Remix. In the Master League, Pokemon GO enthusiasts have an opportunity to collect rewards and advance their positions by competing against fellow gamers.

Starting March 4, I’ve been diving into the Pokémon GO Might and Mastery season, which runs all the way until June 3. This season also marked the beginning of the Battle League, where top trainers from around the globe square off under specific CP limits. Picking the right team is key for anyone aiming to hold their own against seasoned opponents. Each week, a new tier of the Battle League opens up, and players can rack up extra rewards by joining Cups like the Spring Cup: Great League Edition.

For the period of April 15 to April 22, at 1:00 p.m. PST, Niantic has adjusted the calendar for the Pokemon GO Might and Mastery Battle League. This update confirms that both the Master League and Spring Cup: Great League Edition are now active. In these leagues, Pokemon trainers who triumph will receive four times the usual Stardust as their rewards (excluding end-of-set awards). However, players should be aware of certain limitations when selecting their teams for these leagues.

1. To join the Spring Cup: Great League Edition, a Pokemon must have 1,500 CP or less.
2. Only Water-, Grass-, and Fairy-type Pokemon are eligible to participate in this league.
3. Unfortunately, Jumpluff, Roserade, and Toxapex are not allowed to compete in the Spring Cup as per Niantic’s latest blog post.

Pokemon GO Reveals Update for Master League, Spring Cup: Great League Edition and Great League Remix

Additionally, Niantic has announced that Great League Remix will resurface during the week of April 29 to May 6. Similar to the CP limit in the Spring Cup: Great League Edition, it’s back once more. Pokemon such as Blastoise, Wigglytuff, Marowak, Galarian Weezing, Lapras, Feraligatr, Azumarill, Jumpluff, Sableye, Cradily, Gastrodon, Drapion, Serperior, Mandibuzz, Talonflame, Malamar, Golisopod, Morpeko, Annihilape, and Clodsire – which are the top 20 most popular picks among Ace rank players in the Great League – will be off-limits for this special event.

Previously disclosed during the season, players of Pokemon GO can secure encounters with specific Pokemon when they achieve Ace, Veteran, Expert, and Legend ranks. In the phases of Might and Mastery, players have a chance to encounter Vullaby, Morpeko, Frigibax, Dreepy (twice), and Pikachu Libre by progressing through the ranks. Additionally, there are Battle League-themed Timed Research tasks available in the Pokemon GO shop. These tasks tally up a player’s Battle League victories throughout the season, with each research page needing 100 wins to finish. Rewards such as Stardust, Rare Candy XL, Elite Fast TM, and Elite Charged TM can be earned by securing crucial wins in the Might and Mastery Battle League.

This season’s Pokemon GO Battle League will reach its peak with the GO Battle Week: Might and Mastery, happening from May 21 at midnight to May 27 at 11:59 pm local time. During this period, you’ll receive a 4x Stardust bonus, and there will be free Timed Research themed around battles. One of the rewards is an avatar hat resembling Mustard. Before the season concludes, Pokemon GO players can look forward to several new Raid Day events.
