As a seasoned Pokemon Go trainer with years of battling under my belt, let me share some insights about the latest Go Battle League challenges. These tasks might seem daunting at first, but trust me, they’re a piece of cake for someone like me who’s spent countless hours perfecting their team!

The upcoming Pokemon Go Battle Weekend during the Shared Skies Season is fast approaching, offering numerous thrilling rewards, battles, and an exclusive Research quest that should not be missed!

Sure thing! In this article, we’ll cover everything you need to know about the current Go Battle League event, including the active player vs. player formats and their respective rules.

Pokemon Go Battle Weekend: Shared Skies start date & time

The “Pokemon Go Battle Weekend” event organized by Shared Skies will take place from Friday, August 16 (starting at midnight) to Tuesday, August 20, 2024 (ending at 11:59 PM), according to local time.

Attending this event will provide you with a fantastic chance to boost your GBL (Go Battle League) ranking, while also earning plentiful bonuses such as Stardust and Rare Candies. These rewards are available until the season ends on September 4.

Pokemon Go Battle Weekend bonuses

  • The maximum number of GBL sets you can play per day will increase from five to 20, for a total of 100 battles.
  • 4x Stardust from win rewards (this does not include end-of-set rewards).
  • Pokemon encountered from GBL rewards will have better stats than usual.

Make certain you’ve got an activated Star Piece when claiming these rewards for twice the Stardust. This extra reward will not only boost the power of the species you catch in Pokemon Go’s PvP battles, but also strengthen your Pokemon Go PvP teams overall.

  • Great League – Under 1500 CP
  • Ultra League – Under 2500 CP
  • Master League – No restrictions on CP

In all Pokémon competitive leagues, Annihilape, Swampert, and Dragonite are effective choices for battles. However, if you’re building a team around these three, be mindful of Fairy-type adversaries such as Togekiss, as they could pose a significant challenge.

As someone who’s been playing Pokémon for over two decades, I’ve found that Swampert often struggles against certain types of threats, especially Psychic-types and Dragon-types. To enhance its battle performance, I’d suggest adding Charged Move Sludge Wave to Swampert’s moveset or consider replacing it with a Steel-type Pokémon like Melmetal or Metagross, depending on your playstyle and preferences. I’ve found that having a diverse team with different types can help you overcome various challenges in the game.

As a dedicated Pokémon Go player, I can’t stress enough how exceptional an Elite Charged TM is.
