Pokemon Go devs’ typo leads to best-ever Raid Day ticket

As a long-time Pokemon Go trainer, I can’t help but feel elated by Niantic’s unexpected decision to honor the bonus Passes for Mega Lucario Raid Day despite their initial typo. In the past, such mistakes have led to frustration and disappointment within the community, so it’s truly refreshing to see a positive outcome.

Niantic, the creators of Pokemon Go, accidentally wrote down the wrong benefits for the ticketed rewards during the Mega Lucario Raid Day. However, unexpectedly, they chose to keep these benefits rather than correcting the error.

During a Raid Day event, ticket holders are given eight extra passes in addition to the standard five freebies, amounting to a total of 13 passes. Unfortunately, Niantic erroneously stated that players would receive 13 additional passes in their initial post, resulting in a significant overestimation of 18 passes.

Niantic acknowledged their mistake in a public post and promised to respect the given information by issuing an apology for the typo.

Trainers, we regret the error in the description of the Mega Lucario Raid Day Ticket. To make up for it, we’ve boosted the number of extra Raid Passes you can earn by spinning Photo Discs at Gyms, from 8 to 13. #PokemonGO

The Pokemon Go community expressed great joy upon hearing the news and commended the “appreciated Niantic update” from Niantic. Some users even expressed their gratitude, stating that such actions are “highly valued.”

Trainers noted that the bonus significantly enhances the event experience by ensuring the acquisition of XL Candy, an extremely scarce item, from every battle. This perk is beneficial as it allows trainers to strengthen their top attackers for the Go Battle League and Raids.

When Reddit user ‘aznknight613’ posted about these updates, the community was thrilled, praising them as the most worthwhile tickets they had come across.

Due to the chaotic final Raids for Primal Groudon and Kyogre, numerous trainers were enticed by the attractive bonuses to buy the $5 ticket (or its equivalent in your local currency).

On Saturdey, the 27th of July, 2024, between 11 AM and 5 PM local time is when Mega Lucario Raids will occur. You’ll have an entire six hours to capture the game’s newest and finest Fighting-type Pokémon, with its unique Fast Move, Force Palm, being a particularly enticing feature.

To earn those precious bonus passes, you need to activate 13 PokeStops or Gyms in a single session. So, scour around for an area rich in these interactive spots to efficiently complete your Raids and reap the rewards.

For a hassle-free victory against the Raik Bour in Pokemon Go, consider utilizing your most powerful Pokemon of the Fighting, Fire, and Ground types. Don’t forget about Primal Groudon and the Mega Evolutions of Garchomp, Charizard, and Blaziken for an extra boost.
