As a dedicated Pokémon GO fan, I am beyond excited for the upcoming Ultra Unlock: Better Together event! Having grown up with the classic Pokémon games and experiencing the joy of collecting new creatures, the opportunity to catch Paldea’s unique duo, Tandemaus and Maushold, is a dream come true.
The Ultra Unlock: Better Together event in Pokemon GO is coming soon, allowing players for the first time to capture the Paldean Pokemon Tandemaus and Maushold. This exciting event includes extra chances and rewards for all trainers.
I was thrilled when Tandemaus made its entrance in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. This pocket monster is quite unique compared to the multitude I’ve encountered before. Instead of being just one creature, Tandemaus is actually two entities working together as a single unit. When it evolves into Maushold, things get even more intriguing. Depending on the circumstances, it may transform into either four or three distinct beings. The chance of it becoming three is quite slim, though.
During the period from July 17, 10:00 a.m., to July 22, 2024, 8:00 p.m. local time, Pokemon GO players will have the opportunity to capture Tandemaus and Maushold. These Paldea Pokemon can be found in Party Play encounters, requiring 50 Tandemaus Candy to evolve from Tandemaus into Maushold. Moreover, players can obtain Tandemaus through field research tasks and free timed research. Additionally, the game shop now offers a pair of Tandemaus-themed avatar items for purchase – a hoodie and slippers. These items will still be available after the event concludes.
Pokemon GO Ultra Unlock: Better Together Event Offers Numerous Opportunities
Just like regular Pokémon events, players can expect additional rewards in Pokémon GO beyond just catching and evolving new creatures. These perks include earning double the catch candy, four times the catch experience points, and a quicker increase in Pokémon friendships. This is accomplished by opening gifts, trading items, participating in gym battles, raids, or engaging in trainer battles.
During the special event, the wild Pokemon appearing in your game will have increased frequencies of spawning. Additionally, you may encounter shiny versions of various Pokemon such as those from the Paldea, Galar, and Alola regions.

Raids
In addition, some Pokemon can be obtained through raids with different levels of challenge. There’s a possibility that Shiny versions of these raid Pokémon may appear as well.

As a long-time Pokemon GO player and avid collector, I can’t help but feel both excited and a little frustrated with the recent updates to the game. On one hand, I’m thrilled that new Pokemon from the Paldea region of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are slowly making their way into Pokemon GO. These additions keep the game fresh and engaging for me, adding to my collection and expanding the diversity of creatures I can encounter.
