Pokemon GO Fans Want Scopely to Add a New Endgame Mode

As a long-time Pokémon GO player, I’m really excited to see so many of us coming together to ask Scopely for something we really want: a proper endgame! Pokémon GO already gives us tons to do – catching Pokémon while exploring, special Community Days, Raid Hours, and big events. But honestly, once you’ve been playing for a while, it feels like there’s not much left to do. We’re hoping they’ll add a new mode with a never-ending series of tough challenges to keep us engaged and give us something to really strive for!

Although Pokemon GO focuses heavily on social interaction and events, dedicated players often find limited long-term challenges. Raid Battles, including Mega Raids and Max Battles, are a popular way for players to team up and compete. The GO Battle League offers another endgame experience, allowing players to build strong teams and battle each other to improve their rank. Now, fans are suggesting a new type of solo player versus environment (PvE) content that could be very popular.

Pokemon GO Fans Asking Scopely for Endgame Mode

A Reddit user named Entire_Pineapple4732 has proposed a new feature for Pokemon GO called the “GO Battle Tower.” This tower would be a solo challenge, similar to endgame battles in the main Pokemon games, where players face tougher and tougher computer-controlled opponents. The user argues that Pokemon GO doesn’t have enough challenging content for players who prefer to play alone, and the GO Battle Tower would be a great way to test a player’s skill and the strength of their Pokemon. They suggest offering rewards like cosmetic items and poses to encourage players to keep participating in the game mode with each new rotation.

Many other Pokémon GO players love the idea of a new endgame challenge. One fan proposed that Scopely could create something like the GO Battle Tower, drawing inspiration from similar features in other mobile games. A big appeal for many is the desire for more solo content, as Pokémon GO currently focuses heavily on group activities. The person who initially suggested the idea even brainstormed different versions of the challenge, like seasonal events or special, limited-time versions of the GO Battle Tower.

Scopely Clearly Has Big Plans for Pokemon GO

After acquiring Niantic earlier this year, Scopely has brought many improvements to Pokemon GO in 2025. A major update in October significantly raised the level cap from 50 to 80—the first increase since 2020. Along with this, players could earn rewards like increased storage as they leveled up. In December, Pokemon GO also added a highly anticipated feature: Remote Trade, available through the new “Forever Friends” tier, allowing players to trade Pokemon with each other.
