As a seasoned gamer with countless hours logged into Pokemon Go, I must admit that this latest bug causing Gyms and PokeStops to vanish is driving me up the wall! It’s like Niantic took away my virtual bread and water.
The glitch in Pokemon Go, which makes Gyms and PokeStops vanish, is causing frustration among players because they’re unable to progress, as there’s nothing left for them to interact with.
To collect Poke Balls and Berries needed for capturing Pokemon, these two game elements are essential. Rare creatures such as Kecleon and Gimmighoul can only be discovered at Poke Stops.
Indeed, quite a few individuals voiced their grievances when Reddit user ‘EmptyRook’ inquired whether others were encountering the same issue that led to Gyms and PokeStops suddenly disappearing from the game.
Has anyone seen this bug?

trainers frequently encountered this problem multiple times daily, as it surfaced not only during battles against Gym defenders, but also while providing them with Berries for sustenance.
Feeding berries to Pokémon is a frequent practice, as it keeps Gym Defenders active for extended periods, rewards trainers with 50 PokeCoins and candy.
It seems that these two bugs are causing more problems, specifically concerning Gyms. A player expressed their frustration saying, “The bug is already irritating on its own, but when you add to it the fact that the app doesn’t recover from a gym not loading (an issue since the gym rework in 2017), it’s infuriating.”
Although a few players successfully returned to regular gameplay once they re-started the game, many others still faced difficulties in playing, despite repeated attempts. It’s only after numerous tries that they are able to locate Gyms and PokeStops again.
As an enthusiast, I’ve been vocal about my frustrations surrounding this pesky issue that seems to crop up now and then. It’s baffling why seemingly unrelated items tend to malfunction occasionally. Yet, amidst the grumbles, there’s been a lot of speculation among us about what might be causing the bug.
The user suggested that the observed changes might be Niantic incorporating fresh code into the game, hinting at a new addition expected this year. However, it turned out that the “new feature” they mentioned was actually Dynamax, which was introduced later as part of Generation 8.
Although it’s certainly annoying dealing with this bug, you still have options like engaging in PvP battles within the Pokémon GO Battle League or encountering Team Rocket Grunts who pop up in balloons as alternatives.
