Pokemon GO Harvest Festival Event Reveals Rewards and Pokemon Debuts

Pokémon GO announced the return of its Harvest Festival event on September 22nd, with the first appearance of the Pokémon Dipplin and Hydrapple. The event runs from October 10th to 16th, giving players almost a week to earn rewards and find Applin, Smoliv, and Pumpkaboo.

I was so excited when I found out about Dipplin in the Teal Mask DLC for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet! It’s a new way to evolve Applin, alongside Flapple and Appletun. You need to give Applin a Syrupy Apple, which you can buy at the apple stall in Kitakami, to get a Dipplin. But here’s the cool part – if Dipplin learns the move Dragon Cheer and levels up, it evolves into Hydrapple! You get TM226 to teach Dragon Cheer after beating Drayton in the Indigo Disk DLC, and then you can make as many copies as you need at the Pokemon Center. It’s a bit of a process, but totally worth it to get a Hydrapple!

Just a few days after the Dynamax Duraladon event finishes on October 7th, a new event will begin in *Pokémon GO*. The Harvest Festival 2025 starts on Friday, October 10th at 10:00 AM and runs until Thursday, October 16th at 8:00 PM (both times local). This event will introduce Dipplin and Hydrapple to the game. To evolve an Applin into a Dipplin, players will need 200 Applin Candy and 20 Syrupy Apples.

You can find Applin by visiting PokeStops with active Mossy Lure Modules. Sweet and Tart Apples will also help. When you catch Wild Pokemon, feeding them a Pinap Berry or Silver Pinap Berry will give you twice as much Candy. During the Pokemon GO Harvest Festival, you’ll also have a better chance of finding Shiny Smoliv and Shiny Pumpkaboo.

With the start of the Tales of Transformation event in *Pokémon GO*, players can now meet Dipplin and Hydrapple. The event lasts until December 2nd. For $4.99, you can buy a special Timed Research ticket that gives you double the length of Mossy Lure Modules and a better chance of getting Berries at PokéStops. If you complete the Timed Research tasks, you’ll have more opportunities to catch Applin, plus you’ll receive extra Mossy Lure Modules and Silver Pinap Berries.

The Harvest Festival will happen at the same time as the *Pokémon GO* Community Day on October 12th, which is part of Season 20. *Pokémon GO* players will have a great chance to catch some autumn-themed Pokémon and add them to their collections.
