Players of Pokemon GO can use a code to get free items for their avatar. The game often offers promo codes and runs special, limited-time events. Verizon frequently partners with Pokemon GO to give players free items, and the game has also collaborated with companies like McDonald’s, Major League Baseball, and Ed Sheeran in the past.

December 2025 was full of activity in Pokémon GO, with Niantic consistently adding new events and things to do each week. The December Community Day allowed players to catch all the Pokémon that were featured in previous Community Days throughout the year. Players also had the chance to catch Nacli and its evolutions for the first time, and a Winter Fest event is currently underway. Plus, a promo code is available for free in-game items.

Pokémon GO occasionally offers promo codes for free items, and right now there’s one available. This code unlocks special avatar clothing inspired by a collaboration between Fendi, FRGMT, and Pokémon. Players can get a brown FRGMT hat and a white Fendi hoodie decorated with the Dragon Pokémon, Dragonite.

It’s surprising to learn this code actually comes from a Pokemon GO partnership with Fendi in 2024, celebrating the Year of the Dragon. The announcement stated it would only work for a year, between January 4th, 2024, and January 4th, 2025. However, even though 2026 is almost here, the code is still working! If you’re interested, it’s best to use it quickly, as it might stop working at any time.

Even as December winds down, Niantic has more in store for Pokemon GO players. A New Year’s event will begin on December 31st and run until January 4, 2026. During the event, players will have the chance to find Pokemon wearing festive costumes, including Hoothoot in a party outfit, Bulbasaur with a party hat, and Pikachu with a star-covered top hat. The event also includes extra bonuses like more frequent lucky trades, and special raids. Players can also purchase items like Blacephalon Boots for their avatar in the in-game store.

Plus, the January 2026 Go Pass will include a chance to encounter the Pokémon Dialga! Based on previous months, free players will probably be able to battle a level 100 Dialga in the standard version of the pass. If you upgrade to the Deluxe version, you’ll get even more goodies, such as Super Incubators and XL Candy.
