As a devoted Pokémon Go enthusiast, I was thrilled to learn that the Osaka, Japan GO Fest 2025 introduced the duo – Crowned Sword Zamazenta and Crown Shield Zamazenta! This exciting event could even grant lucky participants the chance to capture Shiny variants of these unique Pokémon. Unlike other creatures in the Pokémon universe, there’s a fresh kind of energy required to catch these extraordinary beasts.
As a gamer, I’m excited to share that only those who are joining the Pokemon GO Fest 2025 in Osaka, Japan from May 29th, 9 AM local time to June 1st, 6 PM local time will have the unique opportunity to catch these Legendary Pokemon. For the rest of us, we’ll get our chance during the GO Fest Global 2025 event. These two Pokemon boast different types and stats, and the journey begins with capturing Zacian and Zamazenta. However, to make them into their Crowned variants, you’ll need a specific process. This guide aims to help you get your hands on the Shiny versions of Crowned Sword Zacian and Crowned Shield Zamazenta!
Pokemon GO: How To Get Crowned Sword Zacian
As a dedicated Pokémon GO gamer, I need to secure myself a Hero of Many Battles Zacian first and then transform it into a Crowned Sword Zacian. To do this, I should triumph in the 5-Star Zacian Raids, as they offer guaranteed encounters with the Hero of Many Battles Zacian.
To ensure my Zacian has Iron Head, I’ll have to use a Charge TM (Technical Machine). Once I’ve taught Zacian this Charged Attack using a Charge TM, it’s time for me to supply it with 1,000 Crowned Sword Energy. This process will change my Hero of Many Battles Zacian into a powerful Crowned Sword Zacian.
In the transformation of Zacian into Crowned Sword Zacian, the regular Charged Attack Iron Head gets swapped out for a new move called Behemoth Blade.
Pokemon GO: How To Get Crowned Shield Zamazenta
To obtain the Crowned Sword Zamazenta in Pokemon GO, you’ll initially need to win a 5-Star Raid battle to secure a Hero of Many Battles Zacian as your reward. Afterward, utilize a Charge Technical Machine (TM) to teach Zamazenta the charged attack known as Iron Head. Lastly, supply it with 1,000 Crowned Shield Energy to transform the Hero of Many Battles Zamazenta into its Crowned Shield variant.
When Zamazenta changes to Crowned Shield Zamazenta, Iron Head is replaced with Behemoth Bash.
Pokemon GO: How To Get Crowned Sword Energy
At the live GO Fest events in Osaka, Jersey City, and Paris, attendees will have the opportunity to obtain early access to Crowned Sword Energy and Crowned Shield Energy. You can get these by finishing the branching Special Research during these specific events. In other locations, Pokémon GO players can secure the energy by successfully capturing Crowned Sword Zacian and Crowned Shield Zamazenta in Raid Battles or by completing the GO Fest 2025: Global ticketed Special Research.
Once you’ve transformed Zacian or Zamazenta’s form at least once, you will have the ability to effortlessly swap between their forms without depleting any energy. However, when they are in their Crowned form, they cannot be exchanged or moved to Pokémon HOME.
Pokemon GO: Get Shiny Crowned Sword Zacian & Shiny Crowned Shield Zamazenta

In the world of Pokemon GO, you can obtain both Shiny Crowned Sword Zacian and Shiny Crowned Shield Zamazenta using the same technique as their standard versions. Fortunate trainers who successfully conquer Zacian and Zamazenta Raid Battles may stumble upon a Shiny Zacian or Shiny Zamazenta encounter. However, it’s important to note that there’s no guaranteed method for finding a Shiny Pokemon. Instead, repeatedly winning Raids will increase your chances of encountering multiple Zacian or Zamazenta, potentially improving the odds of discovering their Shiny form.
Pokemon GO Max Battles: Using Crowned Sword Zacian & Crowned Shield Zamazenta
In the game Pokemon GO, while Zacian (Crowned Sword) and Zamazenta (Crowned Shield) cannot Dynamax or Gigantamax, they are still able to participate in Max Raid Battles. They can increase the potency of their signature moves – Behemoth Blade and Behemoth Bash, similar to other Max Attacks. Additionally, they can acquire and enhance Guard and Spirit abilities; Zamazenta (Crowned Shield) obtains a unique skill via its Guard ability.
