- Pokemon GO’s new Global Challenge aims to unite players by sending gifts
Beginning May 20, Pokemon GO has unveiled a fresh Global Challenge – a new activity taking place during their ongoing Might and Mastery season. This event will be among the final opportunities for trainers to engage with Pokemon GO in May.
In the world of Pokémon GO, Global Challenges serve as a shared objective for players worldwide. These tasks are generally simple and not overly challenging. A past global challenge required players to jointly complete 40 million raids, which granted double Stardust upon capturing Pokémon. More recently, Niantic introduced new global challenges with rewards like double XP and an encounter with the Gen 9 creature Fidough. As of now, developers have announced another global challenge for players to tackle, offering rewards such as extra experience points and a chance to encounter the monster Fidough. Here’s what Pokémon GO fans can anticipate from this upcoming challenge.
Starting from Tuesday, May 20, at midnight Pacific Time and ending on Thursday, May 22, at noon Pacific Time, Pokemon GO has launched a global event titled “Might and Mastery Finale: Strength in Numbers”. In this event, players are encouraged to exchange gifts with one another. To facilitate the achievement of the goal, Niantic has boosted the daily limit of gifts that can be sent from 30 to 50. Upon successfully completing the challenge, trainers will receive free Special Research tickets for the May 2025 Community Day Classic featuring Machop as a reward, which they can gift to their friends.
