This issue arises because Niantic didn’t introduce the feature with the option to join battles using a Remote Raid Pass. To make matters worse, even when a large group gathers, there’s no assurance that all participants will have powerful Pokemon with suitable attack and defense types. In fact, it is not uncommon for members of 40-person Max Raid parties to end up disappointed as they watch the boss’ health bar only partially deplete at the conclusion of a battle.

Max Raid Battles are Too Hard for Many Pokemon GO Players

It’s not a new issue that fans of the game have expressed concerns over the challenging nature of Max Raids. In fact, many players have been grappling with these challenges for over a month now. Specifically, Beldum Max Raids in late September were particularly tough due to reported bugs and crashes. Moreover, accessing Max Raids requires a unique currency called Max Particles, which players can gather up to 800 of daily for free. However, some fans believe that the game is intentionally making the challenges difficult to encourage players to purchase more particles from the in-game store in order to keep trying.
