For years, the Let’s Go Meltan Special Research quest has haunted us with its seemingly unattainable task of catching two Lileep or Anorith. These Pokémon are notoriously rare, making it a daunting and time-consuming challenge for even the most dedicated trainers.

Trainers of Pokemon Go who have been stalled in the “Let’s Go Meltan” Special Research mission now have good news: they can finally complete its most challenging assignment.

In the mythical Research mission introduced in 2018, trainers were tasked with capturing two elusive Lileep or Anorith Pokémons. However, many players found this challenging due to the scarcity of these creatures. Fortunately, one of the upcoming Spotlight Hour events scheduled for August 2024 features Lileep as a focus, making it easier for trainers to encounter and potentially catch this elusive Pokémon.

During this event, you’ll have the chance to hatch endless Anorith or Lileep spawns for an hour straight. Making it a breeze to complete the six-year-old quest of catching two of these Pokémon.

An eagarly waiting Reddit user named ‘5c0uty’ expressed excitement about completing the mission of capturing Lileep, which they had been looking forward to wrapping up.

Many individuals, including the original poster, have completed the “Make 3 Great Throws in a row” Field Research task and received Lileep as a reward. However, not everyone is fortunate enough to encounter this Pokemon more than once. Those who managed to get one Lileep or Anorith are left wanting for another opportunity to add these elusive creatures to their collections.

On August 13, between 6 and 7 PM local time, is when The Lileep Spotlight Hour occurs. No need for searching, making this an effective and guaranteed way to find those elusive spawns.

At the same point in the Research project as the Lileep quest, August assists players in accomplishing another task – catching an Aerodactyl.

During Adventure Week 2024, Aerodactyl will be one of the Pokémon that fans have noted can be encountered as wild spawns. However, keep in mind that this flying and rock-type Pokémon will be less common than other wild Pokémon, so you may need to exercise some patience if you want to add it to your collection.
