Pokemon Go players can’t believe “huge W” Mega Rayquaza makeup event is real

As a long-time Pokemon Go player, I can’t help but feel elated by the recent announcement of the Mega Rayquaza makeup event. Elite Raids have always been a source of frustration for me and many other trainers due to their numerous restrictions. The limited availability in Gyms and the inability to battle remotely made it nearly impossible for us to take down the featured Pokemon, especially during events like the one we experienced in June.

Players of Pokemon Go have taken a liking to the Mega Rayquaza makeover event due to its unique advantages, setting it apart from Elite Raids.

Elite Raids come with several challenges, such as only appearing in certain Gyms and requiring in-person participation for battles. Consequently, coordinating groups of players and defeating the highlighted Pokemon becomes quite a feat.

1) The issues encountered during June’s Elite Raids left many members of the community unable to engage in even one fight. Contrastingly, the upcoming make-up event discards all limitations, transforming it into an ordinary Raid event that every trainer can participate in.

When Redditor ‘g47onik’ announced the details of the event in a post, the community excitedly looked forward to obtaining the coveted OP Mega Rayquaza.

I was among the many gamers who praised Niantic for their recent victory, expressing our excitement and hype with comments like “What a massive win for Niantic!” and “The event team at Niantic is absolutely nailing it.”

As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but express my excitement over hearing this: “Instead of designating this as an Elite raid, they chose to treat it like a regular one. That decision, in my opinion, is a fantastic move!”

1. On Saturday, August 3, 2024, the Mega Rayquaza Raids will occur, featuring battles set for 11 AM, 1 PM, and 6 PM in your local timezone. This means there’s plenty of opportunities for you to challenge the Dragon/Flying-type Boss at a time that suits you best.

Surprisingly, it turns out that Elite Raids can actually be fought from a distance – something that has been requested by many players. Additionally, the limit for Remote Raid Passes is set to rise from the standard five daily uses, up to a maximum of 20.

Previously, developers received appreciation for keeping their promise to give out 13 extra Passes during the Mega Lucario Raid Day on July 27. This action left the community satisfied with Niantic’s choices during the Shared Skies Season. (Paraphrased)

1. For a hassle-free victory against Mega Rayquaza in Pokemon Go, opt for powerful Ice and Fairy-type Pokemons such as Mamoswine, Baxcalibur, and Mega Gardevoir. These will make the battle much smoother!
