They were seated in their car within a public parking area when the officer parked beside them and inquired about their activities. The player promptly displayed their phone to the officer, explaining their purpose, but the officer seemed suspicious and decided to check their plates and inspect the vehicle. Although they were legally parked with their lights on, the officer attempted to involve the park ranger by suggesting charges against the gamer, which the latter declined. After another inspection and labeling them “foolish,” the officer instructed them to depart from the park and accompanied them all the way out.
