They’re not just rare, they’re unique, each one carrying a story of their own.

Players of Pokemon GO have come together on the internet to exhibit their nearly perfect Shiny Pokemon, which were almost, but not quite, perfect enough to be considered a “perfect” Hundo Pokemon. Hundo Shiny Pokemon are exceptionally rare in Pokemon GO because of their low encounter rates, however, special events such as Community Day can increase the likelihood of finding one of these elusive creatures in the wild.

Shiny hunting remains a popular pastime for the Pokemon GO enthusiasts, nearly eight years post the game’s initial release. The continued support from developer Niantic allows Pokemon GO to roll out fresh limited-time events and new Pokemon, giving players numerous opportunities to stumble upon and capture Shiny Pokemon in their natural habitats. Should fortune smile upon them, players might even come across a Shiny Hundo Pokemon boasting optimal attack, defense, and HP values. These rare Pokemon are much coveted by the community, as most players stand a greater chance of encountering Shiny Pokemon with less-than-perfect stats when given the chance to catch a Shiny one.

Reddit user Austinmg11 posted a picture of their near-flawless Shiny Giratina from Pokemon GO, and other members of the community are joining in with their own less-than-perfect Shiny Pokemon. Austinmg11’s Shiny Giratina boasts top attack and HP stats, but its defense is just a bit short of the maximum possible value. Users Longjumping-Fox5521 and Deviant-420 also shared their Shiny Celebi, which both have imperfect stats that prevent them from achieving a perfect Hundo status. It seems that other Pokemon GO players, including Reddit user ajf48, have encountered and captured an imperfect Shiny Celebi as well.

Pokemon GO Community Shows Off Their Imperfect Shiny Pokemon

Even though Shiny Pokemon might not boast top-tier stats, they remain handy in raid fights and various other activities within Pokemon GO. Notably, specific Pokemon like the Shiny Charizard and Shiny Venusaur can take advantage of Mega evolutions, amplifying their strength significantly compared to regular versions. Furthermore, trainers who’ve just acquired non-perfect Lunala and Solgaleo in Pokemon GO can merge them with a perfect Necrozma to obtain equally formidable Dusk Mane Necrozma or Dawn Wings Necrozma.

During August, participants can look forward to enhancing their chances of finding Shiny Hundo Pokemon as the Pokemon GO Community Day events approach. Starting on August 18, the Community Day Classic event featuring Beldum will take place. A short while after, on August 31, the Pokemon GO Community Day event featuring Popplio will commence. Notably, both of these upcoming events will feature enhanced encounter rates, thereby raising the probability of coming across a Shiny Pokemon in the wild.
