As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of Pokémon experience under my belt, I must admit that I was initially skeptical about the August Community Day Classic event in Pokémon GO featuring Beldum. However, after reflecting on the potential power boost that a Metagross equipped with Meteor Mash could bring to my team composition, I find myself getting rather excited for this event.

The popular game, Pokemon GO, has announced that Beldum will be the star of its August Community Day Classic event. These monthly events in Pokemon GO are designed to revisit a past Community Day event and Pokemon, allowing long-term players to relish the experience with some modifications. Newcomers to the game can look forward to experiencing this event as something entirely new. With such a vast array of Pokemon in Pokemon GO‘s Pokedex, Community Day serves to spotlight each one and showcase their unique qualities.

During a recent Incense event in Pokemon GO, Beldum was brought into the limelight, providing trainers with the opportunity to acquire its unique Community Day move. Equipping a Beldum with Meteor Mash can lead to an exceptionally potent evolution of Metagross, a beloved Pokemon from the franchise’s third generation. Trainers who value Metagross in their team setup might find it simpler to conquer certain gyms.

For August’s Community Day event, Beldum is the featured Pokemon. The event starts on Sunday, August 18th, running from 2:00pm to 5:00pm in each player’s local time. During this period, you’ll find Beldum more frequently in the wild. Interestingly, the last Community Day for Beldum was back in 2018, and this time around, there seems to be some flexibility – players will have an extra two hours after the event ends to evolve Metang and acquire the Charged Meteor Mash attack. The event also offers several bonuses: Eggs placed in incubators will hatch at a quarter of the usual distance, Lure Modules and Incense will last for three hours each, and there’s a hint that taking photos during the event may lead to a surprise!

As a seasoned Pokémon Go trainer with years of experience under my belt, I can confidently say that the latest announcement from Niantic has me thrilled! The prospect of encountering shiny Beldum more frequently is music to my ears, especially considering the effort it takes to catch these elusive creatures. My own journey as a trainer has been filled with countless hours spent hunting for shinies, and this increased encounter rate will undoubtedly make the process more enjoyable and less time-consuming.

As a gamer, I’ve noticed that the Beldum event isn’t as bustling as the Tynamo Community Day event in terms of raid battles. But here’s the catch: while the Tynamo event delivered an Elektross with Volt Switch at 12 power for trainer fights and 14 for Gyms and raids, a Metagross that masters Meteor Mash packs a wallop! This move will be a whopping 100 power in all battles. If you’re on the hunt for a powerful new Pokemon, this could well be worth it for you!
