Pokémon GO has announced the dates for its Community Day events in the upcoming season. Players can now save four dates on their calendars. Although there are still events happening now in the current season, called Precious Paths – including one Community Day – that season is coming to a close.
Throughout the year, the mobile game Pokémon GO hosts regular Community Day events. These events, typically lasting just one day, significantly increase players’ chances of finding a particular Pokémon. Plus, the featured Pokémon is more likely to appear in its rare, shiny form, which makes these days especially popular with fans. So far in 2026, there’s already been one Community Day and a Community Day Classic, with more planned for the future.
Scopely, the company behind Pokemon GO, has announced the dates for the next series of Community Day events. They’ll be held on March 14th, April 11th, May 9th, and May 16th. The May 16th event will be a special “Community Day Classic,” letting players experience a previously held event. Scopely hasn’t revealed which Pokemon will be featured in each event yet, so players should watch for more announcements as the new season gets closer.

Pokemon GO Has Already Had Community Day Events This Year
Details about the next season of Pokémon GO have been released, following a busy start to 2026 for players. The year kicked off with a special event on January 4th, giving players a better chance to catch the Water-type Pokémon, Piplup. Then, on January 18th, Pokémon GO held its first Community Day of the year, featuring the Pokémon Grookey.

As a big Pokemon GO player, I always get excited for events! We have Community Days regularly, but sometimes Niantic does these longer events too. They just wrapped up the High Zaptitude event where it was easier to find a shiny Tadbulb. And we have two more awesome things coming up at the end of January! Starting on January 20th is Precious Pals, which will finally let us catch a shiny Fidough. Then, on January 27th, Into the Depths kicks off and we’ll be able to get our hands on Glimmet, a new Pokemon from Generation 9!
Even though it’s only January, Pokémon GO players have a lot to anticipate in 2026! It will be exciting to see what new Pokémon are added to the game this year. While the game is starting to run out of Pokémon from older generations, there are still plenty of options from the ninth generation available. Plus, the tenth generation could be released this year, giving the developers, Scopely, even more Pokémon to choose from. No matter what, the upcoming Community Days will be a great chance for players to finally catch the Pokémon they’ve been hoping for.
