Pokemon GO Reveals New Gigantamax Debut Coming in Future Event

Summary

  • Gigantamax Kingler debuts in Pokemon GO on February 1 for Max Battle Day event.
  • Players can use Max Mushrooms to increase damage in battles.
  • Event bonuses include increased Max Particle collection, Power Spot battles, and XP rewards.

On February 1st, Pokemon GO will introduce the first appearance of Gigantamax Kingler. Last year, this popular game received one of its most highly anticipated updates from players, as it finally incorporated Dynamax and Gigantamax forms. Since then, developers have been progressively increasing the number of these forms available in the game.

In certain Pokémon games, there’s a special form called Gigantamax. Unlike regular Dynamax, this transformation not only amplifies a Pokémon’s size and power but also alters its appearance and provides unique moves known as G-Max Moves. At the moment, just six Pokémon in Niantic’s game have this ability, with Gigantamax Lapras being the latest addition to Pokémon GO. But, the roster is set to grow following the developers’ confirmation of an upcoming event.

In the upcoming Max Battle Day of Pokemon GO on February 1st, Gigantamax Kingler will make its debut. This event will take place from 2 to 5 pm local time, and for the first time ever, the Water-type Pokemon will be available in six-star Max Battles. Trainers might even come across a shiny version of it! To aid their teams, players can utilize Max Mushrooms, an item from Pokemon GO that momentarily boosts the damage dealt by Dynamax and Gigantamax creatures during Max Battles. However, this item has been a subject of controversy.
