On September 28th, it’s been announced that Pokemon GO will introduce the premiere of Mega Camerupt. This marks another Mega Evolution coming to Pokemon GO since the feature was introduced in 2020, expanding the range of this well-known variation of pocket monsters.
Camerupt, a Pokemon from Generation 3, transforms when Numel reaches level 33. The appearance of this Fire/Ground-type creature resembles a camel with volcano humps. It stores lava at a temperature of 10,000 degrees Celsius in its body, which erupts when Camerupt gets angry. In its Mega Evolution, Camerupt’s fur becomes longer, its humps merge into a single active volcano-like structure, and a gray “M” symbol appears on its forehead. Camerup is one of the Hoenn pocket monsters with a Mega form, and it will soon be available in Pokemon GO.
Mega Camerupt is Featured in Pokemon GO’s Upcoming Raid Day
On September 28th, Pokemon GO is hosting a special Raid Event, introducing Mega Camerupt into the game for the first time. The event starts at 2 pm local time and ends at 5 pm. During this period, players can engage in battles against Mega Camerupt during raids, with a higher probability of encountering a shiny version. In preparation for this event, starting from September 27th at 5 pm until September 28th at 8 pm Pacific Time, the limit on Remote Raid Passes will be increased to 20. Additionally, players can collect up to five extra Raid Passes by spinning Photo Discs at Gyms during this period.
