Pokemon GO Reveals Special Event for 2025 World Championship

As a dedicated Pokémon GO fan, I’m thrilled to share that we’ve got some exciting news! We’re hosting an event in celebration of the World Championships, kicking off on August 15. This is just another fantastic addition to the Delightful Days season, ensuring that us Pokémon GO players continue to be rewarded and enjoy plenty of bonuses.

The current season in Pokemon GO, known as Delight Days, is its 19th season and commenced on July 3. Since then, the game has been hosting a string of events, one notable occasion being Pokemon GO Fest 2025, which took place in June and introduced Gigantamax Cinderace for the first time. In collaboration with MLB, players have had the opportunity to capture pocket monsters and receive special cosmetic items since July, by attending MLB baseball games at stadiums. To maintain an exciting schedule throughout this season, Pokemon GO is planning to launch a new event in the near future.

The game Pokemon GO has announced a unique 2025 World Championship event happening from Friday, August 15, starting at 10 am local time, to Sunday, August 17, wrapping up at 8 pm local time. During this span, players will find a new Pikachu in costume with a varsity jacket appearing in one-star raids and as a reward for accomplishing Field Research tasks. Furthermore, trainers can expect Honedge in one-star raids, along with Lapras, Dusclops, and Diggersby in three-star raids. Trainers will have the opportunity to perform up to five Special Trades, and the new costumed Pikachu will have a higher chance of appearing in its shimmering form.

In the latest updates for Pokemon GO, you’ll find new Field Research tasks that will lead to encounters with Marill, Paldean Wooper, and Honedge. Moreover, the spawn rates of ten wild Pokemon like Fuecoco and Male Frillish are increased.
