Summary
- Pokemon GO introduces Tinkatink and its evolutions in a new event from April 16 to 22.
- The event includes special bonuses, field research tasks, and increased shiny Pokemon encounters.
- Trainers can also hatch Elekit, Hatenna, and Charcadet from 7 km eggs during the event.
In the Pokemon Horizons: The Series Celebration event on April 16th, Pokemon GO has confirmed the introduction of the Tinkatink evolutionary line. Although some generations are already featured in Pokemon GO, others, like Gen 9, still have creatures waiting to be included in the augmented reality game.
In September 2023, the region of Paldea made its entrance into Pokémon GO, introducing 21 Generation 9 Pokémon. The initial batch included favorites like Fuecoco, Sprigatito, Quaxly, their evolutions, and additional popular picks such as Lechonk and Pawmot. Since then, Niantic has intermittently added more Paldean creatures to the game, with Shroodle and Grafaiai debuting earlier this year, and the Paldean Tauros being available until April 7 in a special event. Now, it’s been announced that another Generation 9 Pokémon is set to join the game soon.
Starting April 16th at 10 am until April 22nd, 2025, at 8 pm local time, the new Pokémon GO event, Pokemon Horizons: The Series Celebration, will introduce Tinkatink and its evolutions. During this time frame, players can hatch Tinkatink from 7 km eggs. Once the event concludes, Tinkatink may be hatched from 10 km eggs. Players will require 25 Tinkatink Candy to evolve Tinkatink into Tinkatuff, and 100 Tinkatink Candy can be used to transform Tinkatuff into the widely-loved Pokémon, Tinkaton, from Scarlet and Violet.

As a dedicated gamer myself, here’s how I’d rephrase that information from a first-person perspective:
“Besides Tinkatink, I can also hatch Pokemon like Elekit, Hatenna, and Charcadet from 7 km eggs during this event. Niantic is boosting the appearance of ten Pokemon, including a special Floragato wearing Liko’s pin on its hat. I might even stumble upon the shiny version of this Floragato and Pikachu sporting Cap’s hat! This particular Pikachu will also know the Charged Attack Volt Tackle.
During the event, you’ll notice more Team GO Rocket balloons floating around. And here’s some good news: it only takes half the usual distance to hatch eggs during this period.
If I’m up for a challenge, I can grab a Paid Timed Research for $4.99, which comes with encounters with Tinkatink and an Incubator. Just like other events, we’ve got one- and three-star raids, new Field Research tasks, PokeStops showcasing special items, free Timed Research, and a brand-new box available in the web store.
Lastly, don’t forget to tune into Pokemon Horizons: The Series Celebration for exciting one- and three-star raids, new Field Research tasks, PokeStops Showcases, free Timed Research, and a new box for purchase in the web store.
As a devoted Pokemon GO enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that the calendar for April is brimming with exciting activities! For instance, get ready for the arrival of Gossifleur and Eldegoss during the Spring to Spring event, happening from April 9 to 14. Another noteworthy event is the debut of the colossal Gigantamax Snorlax on April 19, which is perfectly timed for Max Battle Day!
