As a seasoned Pokemon GO enthusiast with years of gaming under my belt, I can confidently say that this year’s final Spotlight Hour is not one to be missed! Being a longtime player, I’ve participated in countless events, from Max Mondays to weekly raids, but the Spotlight hours have always held a special place in my heart. They offer an unparalleled opportunity to catch Shiny Pokemon and earn bonus rewards – something that keeps me coming back for more.
This week’s Spotlight Hour takes us back to the classic Johto region with Togetic, a familiar face for many of us. To make the most out of this event, I always stock up on Pokeballs, Incense, and Berries ahead of time. This ensures I can catch as many Togetic as possible during the hour-long window, increasing my chances of getting a Shiny one.
The bonus for evolving Togetic during this Spotlight Hour is x2 XP – a great incentive to save up candies and try to evolve Togetic as many times as I can. With Togetic being #0176 in the Pokedex, it’s an exciting opportunity to add another classic Pokemon to my collection.
I also appreciate the detailed breakdown of Togetic’s stats, movesets, and weaknesses, which will undoubtedly come in handy during battles. Knowing that the best moveset for this Pokemon is Fairy Wind and Dazzling Gleam gives me a strategic edge when it comes to maximizing its Damage Per Second (DPS) and Total Damage Output (TDO).
In true Pokemon GO fashion, I’m excited about the possibility of catching a Shiny Togetic. The only difference between the regular and shiny is that the symbols on its chest will be inverted – a subtle yet significant change for those of us who appreciate the finer details.
Lastly, let me share a little joke to lighten the mood: I’ve heard rumors that Niantic might release a Togetic with a white triangle on its chest next year… they call it “New Year’s Togetic”! But don’t worry, I won’t hold my breath – after all, who needs air when you can catch ’em all? Happy gaming, fellow trainers!
As we approach the last week of 2024, I’m gearing up for the final Spotlight Hour of the year in Pokémon GO. This game always has something exciting happening every month – from Max Mondays to weekly raids. However, one event that truly stands out is the Weekly Spotlight Hour. It’s a special occasion where they shine a light on specific Pokémon, offering players a chance to catch a Shiny one and also earn some bonus rewards.
As a long-time Pokemon enthusiast, I can attest to the excitement that the weekly events in Pokemon GO bring to players like myself. These events not only offer a chance to collect more candies for evolution and leveling up our beloved Pokemon, but also the elusive Shiny variants – a treasure every collector dreams of finding!

Pokemon GO Togetic Spotlight Hour Times & Details
This coming Tuesday, December 31st, 2024, from 6 PM to 7 PM in your local time zone, we’re shining the spotlight on Togetic during our special event! Togetic is a beloved Pokemon among long-term fans. To make the most of this Spotlight Hour, here are some essential items to gather:
This way, you’ll be well-prepared and ready to catch Togetic when the hour starts!
During every Spotlight Hour, it’s advisable for players to gather plenty of Pokeballs, Incense, and Berries. These items are crucial for maximizing your Pokemon catching experience during this final Spotlight Hour and increasing the chances of encountering a Shiny Pokemon. This week’s bonus is doubled Experience Points for evolving Togetic, so players should accumulate Togetic candy and try to evolve Togetic as often as they can during the event in Pokemon GO, to maximize their Experience Points gain.
Togetic, a Pokemon originating from the Johto region during Generation 2, is catalogued as number 0176 in the Pokedex. This particular Pokemon serves as the second evolution, with Togepi being its initial form. To evolve Togepi into Togetic, you’ll need 25 candies, and then another 100 candies along with a Sinnoh Stone to transform Togetic into Togekiss.
Togetic belongs to the Fairy and Flying type, making it vulnerable to Electric, Ice, Poison, Rock, and Steel-Type Pokemon, taking 160% more damage from them. It also takes slightly more damage from Dark Type and Grass Type attacks (63%). In contrast, Bug, Dragon, Fighting, and Ground-Type Pokemon deal less damage to Togetic (39%).
Togetic currently has a Combat Power of 1931, with an Attack stat of 139 and a Defense stat of 181.
As a gamer, I’ve found that the most effective moveset for this particular Pokémon lies in Fairy Wind and Dazzling Gleam. This combo dishes out an impressive 8.45 Damage Per Second (DPS) and boasts a Total Damage Output of 109.60. When my Pokémon is under Cloudy Weather, these moves get a nice boost, making them even more formidable!
Catching Togetic will give the player 5 candies and 300 Stardust.
As a long-time Pokemon enthusiast who has spent countless hours catching and training creatures from every region, I can confidently say that discovering a shiny version of a beloved Pokemon is always a thrilling experience. Unlike their regular counterparts, these rare versions have symbols on their chest inverted, which transforms the red triangle into a striking blue one. Having encountered many shinies throughout my journey, I can attest to the excitement and sense of accomplishment that comes with adding one to my collection.
