Pokémon GO has announced the dates and locations for the 2026 GO Tour. The GO Tour is a major event for players, and Pokémon GO regularly hosts activities like it throughout the year to keep the game exciting.
As a Pokémon GO player, I always get hyped for the GO Tour! It’s this huge event Niantic does around Pokémon Day every year to celebrate the franchise. The first one back in 2021 was all about the original Kanto region – they even released shiny versions of all 151 Pokémon and had Legendary raids with Articuno, Moltres, Zapdos, and Mewtwo. Since then, they’ve done tours focused on other regions like Hoenn, which is awesome because it brings a ton of new Pokémon to catch. Everyone in the community was waiting to hear when the next one would be, and now we finally know!
Pokemon GO Tour Heads to the US and Taiwan in 2026
Pokémon GO has announced that GO Tour 2026 will be held from February 20th to 22nd in two locations: Los Angeles, a city that has hosted Pokémon GO events before, and Tainan, Taiwan – the oldest city in Taiwan. To include players worldwide, a final, global GO Tour event will take place February 28th and March 1st.
- Los Angeles (US) and Tainan (Taiwan): February 20–22, 2026 (in-person events)
- Global event: February 28–March 1, 2026
As a huge *Pokémon GO* fan, I was so excited for the Unova GO Tour in 2025! They held awesome in-person events in New Taipei City and Los Angeles from February 21st to 23rd, and then a global event on March 1st and 2nd. We got to encounter the Gen 5 starters with a special pass, which was amazing, and finally had a chance to catch Thundurus, Landorus, and Tornadus in their Incarnate Formes! But that wasn’t all – they also added Black and White Kyurem and even shiny Meloetta to the game. It was a fantastic celebration for all of us Unova fans!
So, details for the Pokemon GO Tour 2026 are still pretty scarce – it’s next year, so they’ll probably share more info over the next few months. But don’t worry, there’s still plenty to do in the game! Mega Camerupt is showing up on September 28th, and October is looking awesome with a Community Day and the debut of Mega Metagross. Definitely keeping busy!
