Pokemon GO has unveiled plans for Road to Unova, a forthcoming event starting on February 24, which marks another announcement for the yearly GO Tour 2025, an augmented reality game event that honors a specific region within the Pokemon franchise.

The three-part event is scheduled from February 21 to 23. During these days, trainers in Los Angeles, U.S., and New Taipei, Taiwan, will participate in real-life activities. Over this period, they’ll encounter seasonal Pokemon, Unown responding to Incense, raids, and hatching pocket monsters from 2 km, 5 km, and 10 km eggs. The Pokemon GO Tour: Unova – Global takes place on March 1 and 2, connecting players worldwide with reduced trade costs and Unova-themed wild spawns, eggs, and raids. In preparation for this year’s GO Fest global phase, Niantic brings exciting news for all players.

The game Pokemon GO is hosting an event called the Road to Unova, starting on February 24th at 10 am and ending on March 1st at 10 am local time. During this event, players can find the Unova starters roaming around in the wild, and even see their intermediate evolutions. The event will feature one-, three-, and five-star raids, with powerful Pokemon like Reshiram, Zekrom, and Genesect variants appearing in five-star raids from February 24th to 28th. There will also be new 2 km egg spawns, themed Timed Research and Field Research tasks, egg hatching distance cut in half, and a limit of 20 Remote Raid Passes per player.

Pokemon GO Announces New GO Tour 2025-Themed Event

  • Wild Encounters: Snivy, Tepig, and Oshawott. Chance of encounters with Servine, Pignite, and Dewott

During the Pokemon GO Tour in Unova, trainers can utilize the new Tour Pass to unlock additional perks. Every trainer gets a free pass, while the premium version is available for $14.99 and offers buyers an encounter with Victini. A separate ticket priced at $4.99 will introduce shiny Meloetta, marking its debut in Pokemon GO. Additionally, two other tickets will be offered, each costing $4.99. One of these tickets provides benefits for raids, while the other focuses on hatching Pokemon.

As players eagerly anticipate the GO Tour of Unova in Pokemon GO, there are other ongoing activities within the augmented reality game. The Legendary Flight event, which introduced the Dynamax forms of Kantonian birds, will conclude on February 9. Steeled Resolve, the introduction of Corviknight and its evolutions in Pokemon GO, is set to end on February 26. The Community Day Classic takes place on January 25, while the Lunar New Year event runs from January 29 to February 2.
