The Winter Holiday Part 1 event is now live in Pokémon GO! Get ready for the festive season with new Pokémon wearing holiday outfits, special in-game bonuses, a new GO Pass, updates to what you can hatch from 7km Eggs, and other exciting features.

Field Research Tasks and Rewards for Winter Holiday Part 1 in Pokemon GO

Here are all the Field Research Tasks and what they reward in Winter Holiday Part 1:

Winter Holiday Part 1 Event Guide in Pokemon GO

The first part of the Winter Holiday event in Pokemon GO starts on December 18th at 10:00 AM local time and lasts until December 24th at 10:00 AM local time. Here’s a breakdown of everything happening during the event, including special bonuses, increased Pokemon appearances, and new Pokemon!

New Pokemon

Here’s how to get all of the new costumed Pokemon appearing during Holiday Part 1:

Event Bonuses

During the first part of the Winter Holiday event, 7km Eggs will have a higher chance of hatching shiny Pichu with a festive hat and shiny Cubchoo with a holiday ribbon.

Additional rewards become available as you hit key progress points in the Winter Holiday 2025 GO Pass. These rewards include:

Tier 2 Additional items may be rewarded from opening Gifts Halved Egg hatch distance when Eggs are placed in an Incubator during the event period

The Pokemon you can catch via wild encounters during Holiday Part 1 are:

You can encounter all of these Pokemon in their shiny forms as well, if you’re lucky.

Eggs

Here’s what can hatch from 7km Eggs during Winter Holiday Part 1:

  • Festive Hat Pichu
  • Smoochum
  • Holiday Ribbon Cubchoo
  • Cryogonal
  • Snom

All of these Pokemon can be shiny except for Snom.

Raids

The Pokemon appearing during three-star raids during Holiday Part 1 are:

  • Holiday Attire Sudowoodo
  • Holiday Attire Charjabug
  • Hisuian Avalugg

Everything else we know about Winter Holiday Part 1

I’m so excited! They’re adding two new items to the in-game shop for the first part of the Winter Holiday event! We’ll be able to buy a Charjabug Bag and a Sudowoodo Holiday Sweater – both sound super cute and festive!

The GO Pass: Winter Holiday 2025 will be available from December 18th at 10:00 AM local time until December 29th at 10:00 AM local time – five days after the Winter Holiday Part 1 event ends. The standard GO Pass is free, while the GO Pass Deluxe option costs $7.99.

You can earn the following rewards from the regular GO Pass:

  • Encounter with Snom
  • Encounters with event-themed Pokemon
  • Stardust
  • XP
  • Poke Balls
  • Candy

And here’s what you can earn from the Deluxe GO Pass:

  • Snom Beanie
  • Additional encounters with even more event-themed Pokemon
  • Premium Battle Passes
  • Rare Candy XL
  • Candy XL

Remember to claim your GO Pass rewards before 11:59pm local time on December 29, or they’ll expire.
