As a long-time Pokémon Go enthusiast, I can confidently say that this Holiday Part 1 event is shaping up to be a fantastic celebration for trainers everywhere! The debut of costumed Dedenne and shiny Sandygast is an exciting addition to my ever-growing Pokédex. It’s always thrilling when new creatures make their appearance in the game, especially during special events like these.

The popular game, Pokemon GO, has unveiled its Holiday Part 1 event, marking the first appearance of Dedenne in costume and shiny Sandygast. Since the start of the 16th season on December 3, players are eagerly anticipating a variety of festive activities to get into the holiday spirit.

In Pokemon GO, Dedenne and Sandygast variants are joining the game soon, but their standard forms have been playable on the app for a while now. Dedenne first appeared in Pokemon GO during the Festival of Lights event in 2021, while Sandygast was introduced by Niantic last year, debuting at the Water Festival: Beach Week event.

During the upcoming holiday celebration, Pokemon GO has announced that for the very first time, players can find Shiny Sandygast and Costumed Dedenne! The Holiday Part 1 event starts on Tuesday, December 17th at 10 am local time and ends on Sunday, December 22nd at 9:59 am. During this timeframe, players will have an opportunity to discover Dedenne in one-star raids with a chance of catching the Pokemon from Kalos dressed in a delightful holiday attire. Furthermore, one-star raids will also include Pikachu wearing a winter outfit and Psyduck adorned in holiday clothing. Alongside these characters, Sandygast will appear in both one-star raids and wild spawns, which will feature nine other creatures such as Numel and Delibri dressed for the occasion.
