Niantic, the creators of Pokemon Go, have announced an unexpected reward for ticket holders of Mega Lucario Raid Days. This exciting perk motivates trainers to participate in the event and put in extra effort.
As a dedicated gamer, I can tell you that taking on Mega Lucario Raids is an exciting experience that everyone can enjoy, bringing along increased possibilities of catching shiny Pokemons. However, for trainers who have reached level 31 and above, there’s an extra perk: by spending $5 (or the equivalent in your local currency) on a ticket, you’ll be rewarded with an XL Candy guaranteed for each capture during that raid session.
Members of the gaming community were thrilled when Niantic announced through an X post that XL Candies, which are scarcely obtained and essential for boosting this powerful game feature, would be more accessible. The developers further mentioned in the comments section that ticket holders with levels below 31 can securely acquire Rare Candies as a guaranteed reward.

People who hadn’t purchased a ticket appeared to be persuaded, with one of them exclaiming, “Alright, I’ll give in. Raiding is monotonous, but those rare XLs are irresistibly appealing!” Others expressed their full commitment, declaring, “I’m completely on board.”
During the Primal Kyogre and Groudon Raid Days in March, there was a lot of excitement about obtaining rare items. However, this enthusiasm was dampened when XL Candy gains became erratic instead of the promised increase. In contrast, receiving XL Candy for Mega Lucario raids is guaranteed.
On July 27, 2024 from 11 AM to 5 PM local time, I’m thrilled about the Mega Lucario Raid Day in Pokemon Go! For a whole six hours, Raids will be available at every Gym. This means I can collect an abundance of XL Candy by participating with my ticket. What an exciting opportunity for trainers like us!
As a seasoned player of this game, I can tell you from my personal experience that participating in events is always an exciting and engaging experience, no matter if you have the event ticket or not. However, based on my past experiences, I’ve learned that if your goal is to farm XL Candy for the newest Mega Pokémon, then having the event ticket becomes a necessity.
