Game Freak’s naming of Pokemon Legends: Arceus has been sparking fan discussions about potential future Legend titles for quite some time. The possibility of a series named Legends Z-A suggests that the franchise may not always be confined to its past, yet there are consistent trends between the two Legends games that have generated excitement among fans.
The suggested connection between Volo and Cynthia, as well as the reappearance of AZ, sets a pattern for future Legends titles to delve deeper into established Pokemon lore. This implies that significant moments in the franchise can be further explored, and there are many intriguing storylines within Pokemon that deserve a second look.
It’s not hard to see that Pokemon Legends: Arceus functioned as a companion piece to the remakes of the original Sinnoh adventure, Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. With Generation 5’s remake on the horizon, a new Legends game set in Unova could create quite a stir when it’s announced. And if Game Freak were to delve into Unova again, they could really astonish fans by shedding light on an intriguing aspect of the region’s history: the lineage of N’s family.
Pokemon Legends’ Unova Entry Could Surprise Fans By Revealing N’s Birth Parents

Pokemon Black and White’s N Still Has Room to Have His Origin Explained
In the realm of Role-Playing Games (RPGs), I can hardly think of a character more popular than mine, N. It speaks volumes about his unique charm within the Pokémon series. In a society where battling Pokémon is commonplace, N challenges this norm by sensing that these creatures might be enduring unnecessary suffering. This viewpoint was nurtured in him because he was raised by Ghetsis after being discovered living amongst wild Pokémon as an orphan. Adopted to serve as a vessel for Ghetsis’ beliefs, my special ability to hear the creatures’ voices was utilized. However, the circumstances that led me to live among Pokémon in the first place remain unexplained.
As a dedicated fan, I can’t help but speculate on a potential plot for a future Unova Legends game. Building upon the surprising ancestry hints dropped in Pokemon Legends: Arceus for multiple Generation 4 characters, it feels like an intriguing narrative direction to delve into N’s parents’ storyline.
Imagine a scenario where we meet a couple at the game’s outset. They could be players themselves, allowing us to witness their blossoming romance before they reveal their plans to depart for the woodlands to start a family. The unexpected twist would come when we discover that this couple is, in fact, N’s birth parents.
To keep this revelation a surprise, the game could subtly hint at their physical characteristics, like having the husband and wife sport blue and yellow hair, only for them to cradle a green-haired baby by the end of the story. This unexpected color shift would pique our curiosity, setting the stage for an emotional journey as we uncover more about N’s past and the origins of the Unova region.
Unova’s History is the Road Less Traveled
Instead of Kalos, Unova has previously revealed the events following the journey depicted in Pokemon Black 2 and White 2, leaving a potential Pokemon Legends game open to explore its past. Given the significance of Nimbasa City to N and Unova as a whole, and the need for the game to not be too far into the future to include N’s parents, it is conceivable that a Pokemon Legends Unova game could take a different approach from Z-A, by creating Nimbasa City years before N and the player first ride the Ferris wheel together.
Contrary to Kalos, Unova has already revealed to players the events following their journey in Pokemon Black 2 and White 2, thus allowing a potential future Pokemon Legends game to explore its history instead.
There’s a possibility that completing N’s incomplete past could shed light on why he can communicate so deeply with Pokémon, an aspect many players find intriguing. Some fans might prefer just knowing where N originated and the identities of his parents as part of the overall narrative during gameplay. If a hypothetical Unova ‘Legends’ game is developed, it could tie in perfectly with the remakes of Black and White. However, since Pokémon is currently concentrating on Kalos, players might have to hold off for several more years before these games are even announced, let alone released.
