Pokemon Legends: Z-A Basically Showed All 19 Mega Dimension DLC Mega Evolutions

Just three weeks after its release, Pokemon Legends: Z-A has received a varied response. While some players enjoy its open-world exploration and extensive customization, others aren’t thrilled with the changes to the traditional turn-based battle system. Despite being so new, a trailer for the game’s DLC has already been released, giving fans a glimpse of what’s coming on December 10th, including returning Pokemon. Mega Evolutions are a key part of what makes Pokemon Legends: Z-A popular, so it’s not surprising the DLC will expand on this feature. The new trailer revealed not only Mega Chimecho and Baxcalibur, but all 17 Mega Evolutions that will be included in the DLC.

Fans are excited about the updated designs of Pokemon like Mega Chimecho and Baxcalibur in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, and are eager to learn what players will be able to do in the Hyperspace Lumiose area. Though hints suggest some gameplay might be similar to a roguelike, a major attraction of the new Mega Dimension DLC is the promise of several new Mega Evolutions, alongside the return of familiar Pokemon. Scovillain and Heatran will probably keep their current types since they’re the only Pokémon who have them. Garchomp could be developed further by referencing descriptions of lava in the Pokédex or emphasizing its shark-like design. Lucario might gain the Psychic type to better represent its abilities as the Aura Pokémon.

Say Hello to Pokemon Legends: Z-A’s List of Confirmed DLC Mega Evolutions

After the release of Pokemon Legends: Z-A, dataminers discovered hidden information within the game files – a list of Mega Evolutions and their Pokedex numbers. This list was shared on Twitter by Centro Leaks. However, Mega Heatran, Darkrai, and Zeraora weren’t included because evidence of their Mega Stones had already been found, effectively leaking them previously.

It’s notable that Baxcalibur is included because some data miners questioned the accuracy of the Mega Evolution list. Leaked information from the upcoming Pokemon Legends: Z-A DLC didn’t seem to include data for Pokemon from Generation 9. However, Baxcalibur—and Annihilape—are in the game, confirming the leaks were correct. This also suggests the leaked Mega Evolutions for the other Generation 9 Pokemon—Scovillain, Glimmora, and Tatsugiri—are also accurate.

Because Pokémon Legends: Z-A’s Mega Pyroar merges the distinct appearances of male and female Pyroar into one form, it’s possible that Tatsugiri will receive a Mega Evolution that similarly combines its various color variations.

It’s also worth noting that Magearna and Glimmora both have designs that look like flowers, similar to the Ultimate Weapon or Ange from Pokemon Legends: Z-A. This might just be a random connection, but it suggests these two Pokemon could receive Mega Evolutions inspired by the Ultimate Weapon from older games, or Ange. While we don’t know exactly what the new Mega Evolutions will look like, with Chimecho and Baxcalibur already confirmed, this list is likely very accurate, if not completely correct.
