All Pokémon Legends: Z-A Character Customization Options
Pokémon Legends: Z-A lets you extensively customize your character’s appearance, from their overall look and features to their clothing and style.
At the start of the game, you can customize your character’s appearance – things like gender, hair, eye color, and makeup. Just like in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, you’re not locked into your initial choices; you can change most of your character’s look whenever you want, except for their skin tone.
Beyond solid hair colors, players can now customize their characters’ hair with techniques like color blocking and balayage for more unique looks.
Lumiose City has lots of shops where you can buy new clothes to change your character’s appearance. You’ll discover more shops as you play through the story and complete side quests.

Is There Gender-Locked Customization in Pokémon Legends: Z-A?
Legends: Z-A doesn’t limit character creation by gender, allowing you to fully customize your character’s appearance and identity.
Hairstyles don’t have a gender, and anyone can use them. Players also have complete freedom to customize their character’s makeup and clothing, including options like skirts, blouses, and dresses.
This isn’t unexpected, since the previous games, Scarlet and Violet, already allowed full clothing and customization choices. We can expect this to continue in future Pokémon games.
