Mega Tyranitar is a particularly powerful Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, with excellent stats and strong attacks. To evolve Tyranitar into its Mega form, players need to find Tyranitarite, the special Mega Stone that unlocks its full potential.

Rogue Mega Tyranitar Strategy
Using a powerful Fighting-type Pokémon is key to easily defeating Mega Tyranitar, as it’s extremely weak to this type. Pokémon like Machamp, Breloom, Heracross, Lucario, and Kommo-o work well, but Lucario is the best choice for countering Mega Tyranitar.
Lucario stands out in PLZA because it’s the only Fighting-type Pokémon that can powerfully use special attacks like Aura Sphere and Focus Blast. These moves are super effective against Rogue Mega Tyranitar, dealing four times the normal damage and ignoring its high Defense stat of 150.
Plus, Lucario’s Steel typing is super effective against this Pokémon, making moves like Flash Cannon particularly powerful.
