As a big fan of Pokémon Legends: Z-A, I’ve been figuring out the best ways to boost my Pokémon’s friendship levels! Luckily, there are quite a few things you can do to make them happier, and I’ve found these methods really work:
- Battling with a Pokémon
- Feeding the Pokémon berries
- Leveling up a Pokémon
- Spending time with your Pokémon at the café
- Hanging out with Pokémon on a bench
- Equipping a Pokémon with the Soothe Bell
Although several things can increase friendship with your Pokémon, the quickest way is simply to have them relax on the bench or take them to a café.
The quickest way to raise your Pokémon’s friendship level in Pokémon Legends: Z-A is by visiting a café. Simply order a tea, spend a few moments with your Pokémon there, and then head out – it’s a fast and easy way to build your bond!
Do this several times, and you should be able to reach maximum friendship with your Pokémon. Remember to only bring the Pokémon you want to become friends with to the café, since you can only have one Pokémon there at a time.
This technique lets you evolve Pokémon, such as Eevee into Umbreon, much faster. It works for quickly evolving Riolu, too.
Going to the café costs money each time, so it’s a good idea to save up, even though it’s not too expensive. We’ve likely spent around 10,000 PokéDollars in total to max out the friendship levels needed for each Pokémon to evolve.
Where to Find the Friendship Checker in Pokémon Legends: Z-A
You can check how much your Pokémon like you by visiting the friendship checker, a feature that’s been around in the Pokémon games for years.
You can check your Pokémon’s friendship levels in Legends: Arceus at the Pokémon-Amie Café, which is located north of Wild Zone 7. Just find the woman wearing a yellow cardigan inside the café.
If you talk to her, she’ll offer to check how close you are with your Pokémon. You can then select which Pokémon you want her to evaluate.
Okay, so when it comes to accessing your Pokémon, it’s way easier now! It doesn’t matter if they’re actively in your team or chilling in your boxes – you can use any of them. You don’t have to swap them into the lead like we used to do in older games, which is a huge time saver!
