It looks like Pokemon Legends: Z-A will include all the Mega Evolutions from the X and Y and Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire games, except for Mega Rayquaza. As with many Pokemon games, details about the upcoming Pokemon Legends: Z-A have been leaking online. Now that some players have received early copies of the game, datamining has revealed even more information about what to expect.
As expected, most of the leaks surrounding *Pokemon Legends: Z-A* have focused on the Pokemon appearing in the game and the new Mega Evolutions it will introduce. Details about many of these Mega Evolutions leaked before they were officially announced and turned out to be mostly correct. The most recent leak doesn’t share any new Mega Evolution designs, but it does reveal one Mega Evolution that won’t be included in the game.
Pokemon Legends: Z-A Won’t Have Mega Rayquaza
A recent post on Twitter by Centro Leaks suggests that Mega Rayquaza won’t be included in *Pokemon Legends: Z-A*. While most other Mega Evolutions from the *X and Y* and *Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire* games are anticipated to return, Rayquaza itself is reportedly absent from the new game. The reason for this exclusion is currently unknown, but it’s possible Rayquaza and its Mega Evolution could be added later through an update or downloadable content.

Game Freak and Nintendo are planning to continue supporting *Pokemon Legends: Z-A* after its release. They’ve already revealed the Mega Dimension DLC, which will add two new Mega Evolutions for Raichu and a new story. This makes many fans wonder if Mega Rayquaza might also appear in a future DLC. Considering other Mega Evolutions are being added, it would be surprising if Mega Rayquaza was the only one excluded, so players are hoping this popular Pokemon will make a return.

The new Pokémon RPG, *Pokémon Legends: Z-A*, is coming out on October 16th! It will be available for both the original Switch and the new Switch 2, and pre-orders are open now at various stores. Pokémon fans have a lot to consider when getting ready for the game, but a new adventure is almost here!
