Pokemon Legends: Z-A Players Are Accidentally Losing One-of-a-Kind Pokemon

Players of Pokemon Legends: Z-A are accidentally letting a Spewpa evolve into the rare blue Vivillon, which is the only one of its kind available in the game. While Pokemon Legends: Z-A features several new Pokemon variations, the blue Vivillon design is causing a lot of discussion. Many players have discovered that this particular form only appears once throughout the entire game, often without realizing they’ve used it.

Despite a lot of information being revealed before its release, the new Pokemon game is starting off well. Pokemon Legends: Z-A sold 5.8 million copies globally in its first week – not a record for the series, but better than Pokemon X/Y and Let’s Go Pikachu/Eevee. However, some players have discovered a disappointing issue after playing the game.

Pokemon Legends: Z-A Players Are Accidentally Releasing the Game’s Only Blue Vivillon

Many players who finished the Museum quest in Pokemon Legends: Z-A discovered that the Spewpa they received evolves into a unique, Marine pattern Vivillon. This has led to regret from those who previously released it, as the game doesn’t clearly indicate this Spewpa is special. It looks identical to other Spewpa until it evolves, causing many players to assume it was a common Pokemon and therefore unnecessary after already completing their Pokedex entries.

Although Marine Vivillon isn’t uncommon throughout the Pokémon series, it’s quite rare in the newest game, Legends Z-A. All Vivillon found in Legends Z-A are the pink Meadow pattern, except for one: the Marine form, which is only given as a reward for finishing the ‘Spewpa at the Museum’ quest. This means once players trade or release it, they can’t get another one within the game. While collectors can still find Marine Vivillon in Pokémon GO, they currently can’t transfer it to Legends Z-A because the new game doesn’t yet work with Pokémon Home. This means it might be a while before players can add it to their Legends Z-A collection.

Putting aside the recent discussions about the Vivillon Pokemon, many fans are disappointed with Game Freak’s newest game, Pokemon Legends: Z-A. Although the game has sold well, it received a lot of negative reviews immediately after launch, with some players calling it uninspired and feeling it relies too much on familiar, and potentially outdated, elements. However, others appreciate the game’s departure from traditional Pokemon turn-based battles and hope to see more innovation in future installments.
