Pokémon Legends Z-A calls Lumiose City its home, taking over from Legends Arceus. Its debut date is yet to be announced, but it’s already showing promise as a strong contender among its peers in the Pokémon series.
Between the unveiling of Pokémon Legends Z-A at the 2024 Pokémon Presents event and the debut of its first complete gameplay trailer at the 2025 Pokémon Presents, a full year passed. Though it was a lengthy wait, it proved to be worthwhile as The Pokémon Company gave us a glimpse into the grandeur of Lumiose City.
It appears that Pokémon Legends Z-A has incorporated feedback from Pokémon Legends Arceus. We’re now wondering when we can start playing it ourselves.
Do we Know When Pokémon Legends Z-A is Coming Out?
The game Pokémon Legends Z-A is planned for a late 2025 release, though an exact launch date hasn’t been confirmed yet.
As a devoted gamer, I’m super excited about the Pokémon Presents on February 27! This is where we got some juicy details about the release window for the upcoming titles. While “late” might sound vague, if we look at the pattern set by previous games like Scarlet and Violet, Sword and Shield, Sun and Moon, and the remakes of Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, they all dropped in November of their respective years. So, I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it’ll be around the same time this year!
Indeed, Pokémon Legends Arceus came out in January 2022. Since we haven’t had a new game since then, it’s plausible that we might see Pokémon Legends Z-A released around November 2025.
All Pokémon Legends Z-A Platforms
Pokémon Legends Z-A can only be played on a Nintendo system, so your options are to use a Nintendo Switch, or if the Switch 2 has been released when you want to play, that could work as well.
I’m pretty bummed out as a gamer because Pokémon games only come out on Nintendo hardware or mobile devices. Even though PlayStation and Xbox are teaming up more, it’s unlikely we’ll ever get to play Pokémon Legends Z-A on anything other than a Nintendo console.
Do we Know How Much Pokémon Legends Z-A Will Cost?
Although Pokémon Legends Z-A has only been marketed as a wish list item so far, given that it’s Nintendo, it is likely that the game will retail for around $59.99 USD or £49.99 GBP.
Nintendo is known for being reluctant to reduce game prices. Moreover, their high-profile new AAA games always debut at full price. So, there’s a strong possibility that Legends Z-A will retail for $59.99 or £49.99. Make sure you accumulate your Nintendo Gold Points before they expire.
It seems that Pokémon Legends: Z-A will have a tough challenge to surpass Pokémon Legends: Arceus in popularity. What are your thoughts on Pokémon Legends: Z-A up until now? Could the Nintendo Switch’s technical capabilities potentially limit its greatness compared to any Kanto creatures’ wildest dreams of legendary status?
Delta Force (console version), Mecha Break, Tales of the Shire (a Lord of the Rings game), The First Berserker Khazan, Lost Soul Aside, Killing Floor 3, and Elden Ring Nightreign.
