Pokemon Pokopia Fan Builds Fully Functional Subway System

A player of the game Pokemon Pokopia recently wowed the online community by constructing a complete, working subway system within the game’s Rocky Ridges area, showcasing incredible detail. Pokemon Pokopia, released in early March, has quickly become popular with fans of relaxing life-simulation games. It sold over 2.2 million copies in just four days and is now considered one of the best Pokemon games ever made. A key feature of Pokemon Pokopia is its open-ended building system, allowing players to create almost anything they can imagine.

After just starting Pokemon Pokopia, players will discover lots to do, like completing Important Requests and exploring Dream Islands. They can also build and customize their worlds using crafting and special Pokemon moves. While the game provides pre-made building kits, some players prefer to create amazing landscapes entirely on their own. Many find inspiration in real life, like one player who designed a clever underground transportation system for their world.

Pokemon Pokopia Player Builds Operational Rocky Ridges Subway System

A fan of the game Pokemon Pokopia, known as Anko_Aniki, recently showcased a fully working subway system they built within the game to the Reddit community. The video shows the player descending into a beautifully detailed, white-tiled underground station in the Rocky Ridges area. It features realistic touches like automatic turnstiles, vending machines, screens displaying information, and even posters that look like ads. The creator also added railway tracks to complete the subway experience. Remarkably, the subway actually leads to the hidden museum located within Rocky Ridges. The video has already received over 7,000 upvotes, with other players commending the creator’s ingenuity and resourcefulness.

The player not only added a subway system, but also completely transformed the volcanic area into a relaxing hot springs district, featuring tall buildings modeled after traditional Japanese inns. Rocky Ridges is known as one of the best places in Pokemon Pokopia to find the hot spring water needed for creating steamy baths. Interestingly, the player, known as Anko_Aniki, originally disliked Rocky Ridges, describing it as cramped and cluttered with ash and rock. This dissatisfaction motivated them to improve the area significantly. Now, their Rocky Ridges museum is easily accessible from the town center thanks to the new subway line.

Rocky Ridges is a popular destination in Pokemon Pokopia for several reasons. Beyond its hidden museum, the area is home to Pokemon that thrive in warm climates, including the Legendary Volcanion. Like other rare Pokemon such as Mew and Kyogre, you can’t simply befriend Volcanion – you’ll need to complete a set of quests first. Rocky Ridges also offers the blueprint for Railways, allowing players to create a custom transportation network for their Pokemon companions.

Despite being released less than a month ago, Pokemon Pokopia is already a hit. In just two days, it boosted Nintendo’s stock price by 15%. The game recently hosted its first limited-time event, allowing players to catch and befriend the Hoppip evolution line in the Withered Wasteland, which ends on March 25th. The developers have promised to continue updating Pokemon Pokopia after launch, suggesting more events could arrive throughout 2026.
