Pokemon Pokopia is Getting an April Fools’ Day Event

To celebrate April Fools’ Day, Pokemon Pokopia is hosting a special event where players can earn a unique Sudowoodo decoration. Since its release, the game – a life simulation spin-off developed by Omega Force – has been incredibly popular and has already achieved significant success. Pokopia sold over 2 million copies in its first four days and is currently the highest-rated Pokemon game ever on Metacritic. Players who started playing early have also been enjoying limited-time events.

Shortly after the launch of Pokopia, the game held its first event, ‘More Spores for Hoppip.’ Players collected Cotton Spores by exploring Dream Islands and exchanged them at the Pokemon Center for unique decorations. The event also introduced new Pokemon, including Hoppip’s evolutions Skiploom and Jumpluff, which players could add to their islands. Now, Pokopia is preparing another event to celebrate April Fools’ Day.

Pokemon Pokopia Adding New April Fools’ Event

Starting in early April, Pokemon Pokopia will host a one-day event with a fun April Fools’ Day theme! Each day, players will get a unique challenge, and some of their Pokemon will offer a special quiz. If you answer three quizzes correctly, you’ll earn a limited-edition inflatable Sudowoodo decoration, available only during the April Fools’ event. Okay, so the April Fools’ event in Pokopia is almost here, and people have already been messing around with the date settings to figure things out! I found out that if you change the date and restart Pokopia, the whole April Fools’ challenge starts over, even if you’ve already gotten the Sudowoodo decoration. That means we can get multiple Sudowoodos, which is awesome! People are also discovering how the quizzes work – each quiz giver is pretending to be a different Pokémon and you have to guess who it is. The Pokémon Center’s info says the event only lasts for one day, starting at 5 AM local time on April 1st and ending with the daily reset at 5 AM on April 2nd. Gotta be ready to play!

The fun April Fools’ events in Pokopia suggest that many more holiday celebrations are on the way. Like Animal Crossing, Pokopia will probably host seasonal events with unique items and decorations. We can also expect bigger events, similar to the recent More Spores for Hoppip, which will introduce new Pokémon and areas to explore. Because Pokopia has become so popular so quickly, players are already excited and speculating about what expansions and updates might be coming.

Although Omega Force and The Pokémon Company haven’t officially announced any downloadable content (DLC) for Pokopia, players are already speculating about what might be added. The game includes many nods to the classic Kanto region, and the discovery of a note about the Sevii Islands has fueled theories that these islands could be the focus of future DLC. Omega Force has also stated they’ll be releasing several updates in the months following the game’s release to fix bugs and improve gameplay. Pokopia is already a popular title for the Switch 2, and these future updates are expected to make it even more appealing.
