A creative player in Pokemon Pokopia constructed a large Sudowoodo sculpture by combining several inflatable Sudowoodos. These were given away for free during a recent April Fools event in the game, Pokemon Pokopia.
Pokemon Pokopia lets players decorate their Pokemon’s homes and the game’s islands with lots of different items. Since its release in March, the game has hosted two special events with exclusive rewards. The latest was an April Fools’ event called the “Copycat Challenge,” where players guessed which Pokemon their friends were pretending to be. Successfully answering three questions earned players an Inflatable Sudowoodo, which was only available for 24 hours.
Pokemon Pokopia Player Shows Off Inflatable Sudowoodo Creation
If you missed getting the Inflatable Sudowoodo, you can change the date on your Switch 2 to any time after 5:00 AM on April 1, 2026, to participate in the Copycat Challenge. Completing the challenge will reward you with the Inflatable Sudowoodo, which you can find in the Pokémon Center PC.
Players who finished the Copycat Challenge and received their Inflatable Sudowoodo have been sharing fun pictures and videos of it waving in the breeze. Many have also been using the 3D Printer in Pokemon Pokopia to create several copies for extra decorations. One dedicated fan, TokenFemaleVGC on Twitter, really took their love for Sudowoodo to the extreme by building a huge statue of the Gen 2 Pokemon entirely out of the inflatable toys. They showcased the impressive size of their creation in a short video, using Ditto’s Magnet Rise ability for a cool effect. While they didn’t say exactly how many inflatables they used, the video suggests it was around a hundred or even more!
I’ve been seeing a lot of awesome stuff from Pokemon Pokopia players lately, and TokenFemaleVGC’s Sudowoodo statue is seriously impressive! Honestly, when they released that Inflatable Sudowoodo, a lot of us were hoping someone would build something cool with it, and they totally delivered. Pokemon Pokopia‘s building tools are letting people get really creative with their islands and Pokemon homes. I even saw someone recreate Ash Ketchum’s house – they even had a Mr. Mime in the garden just like in the show! It’s amazing what people are coming up with.
Future Pokemon Pokopia Events and Updates
Even though it’s recently launched, players are already excited about what’s coming next for Pokemon Pokopia. The first big in-game event will focus on the Pokemon Sableye, running from April 29th to May 14th, giving players a chance to add it to their team. Expect more events in the months ahead, possibly including new Pokemon and areas to discover. Some fans are even predicting a downloadable expansion set in the Sevii Islands – a region originally featured in Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen – but neither of the game’s developers, Game Freak or Omega Force, have confirmed anything about a potential expansion yet.
Despite the fact that it’s still early days, Pokemon Pokopia is already a hit with players. Within just four days of release, it sold over 2.2 million copies globally and even boosted Nintendo’s stock price by 15%. In the past month, players worldwide have shared countless posts showcasing their decorated islands and enjoyable experiences with their Pokemon. Pokemon Pokopia demonstrates the continuing popularity of relaxing life simulation games, offering a compelling alternative to titles like The Sims and Animal Crossing for players who enjoy creative expression.
