Pokémon Pokopia Release Date Announced

Nintendo has revealed that Pokémon Pokopia will be released soon, and a new trailer showcasing the game is coming out later this week.

Nintendo recently announced Pokémon Pokopia during their September Direct. This new game, a fresh take on the Pokémon series, will be available exclusively on the Nintendo Switch 2, and we now know when it will officially launch.

Pokémon Pokopia Releases March 5

Nintendo revealed on X (formerly Twitter) that Pokémon Pokopia will launch on March 5th, only a week after the Pokémon franchise turns 30 years old.

Pokémon Pokopia won’t be available as a traditional physical game. Instead of a game cartridge or disc, copies will include a card with a code to download the game.

More information about the Pokémon Pokopia game has been released on the official Japanese website, confirming that it will feature gameplay similar to Animal Crossing.

Pokémon Pokopia lets players gather materials like stones and wood to craft furniture, farm vegetables, and build cozy homes for their Pokémon. The game also features a day-and-night cycle that matches real-world time.

Pokémon will behave differently depending on the weather and time of day. The developers have also hinted at future possibilities, like building and customizing a city where you can interact with Pokémon and other players.

A new trailer showcasing more of the game will be released on Thursday, November 13th at 2 PM UTC.
