Pokemon Pokopia’s Next Big Event is Set for April 29

Get ready, Pokemon Pokopia fans! The next major event in the game starts on April 29th. Pokemon Pokopia originally launched with lots to do, including many islands to discover and hundreds of Pokemon to meet.

Pokemon Pokopia shares many similarities with the Animal Crossing series, including special events that happen from time to time. As of now, Pokopia has hosted two such events. The first event involved players gathering cotton spores on Dream Islands to buy items from Hoppip, which were then used to create homes for its evolved forms. The second was an April Fools’ Day event where players answered trivia to earn an inflatable Sudowoodo decoration.

When is the Pokopia Sableye Event

If you’re curious about the upcoming Pokopia event, mark April 29th on your calendar! That’s when the Sableye event begins. Just make sure you’ve restored at least one Pokemon Center, and you can start the event by chatting with Sableye, the Dark/Ghost-type Pokemon. Like past events, this one won’t last forever, so be sure to participate before it ends on May 13th.

Once players chat with Sableye in Pokopia, they can explore Dream Islands and gather red gems. These gems can be exchanged for special items only available during the event. Players can use these items to create a home for Sableye. After the event ends and Sableye finishes helping out at the Pokemon Center, players can move it into its new habitat and make sure it’s comfortable.

The new Sableye event in Pokemon Pokopia officially begins on April 29th, but players can start it immediately by changing the date and time settings on their Switch 2 console. This allows you to experience events early or replay older ones, essentially ‘time traveling’ within the game. While altering your console’s settings could potentially cause problems, it’s a way to access content outside of its intended release schedule.

While limited-time events are keeping players engaged with Pokopia, many are hoping for larger expansions. Pokopia has been incredibly successful commercially, suggesting there’s a strong possibility of downloadable content. With only a fraction of the total Pokémon available in the game, there’s plenty of potential for future growth. Whether Pokopia will receive full expansions remains to be seen, but players can continue enjoying the current game and its temporary events.
