Okay, so Pokemon is turning 30, which is HUGE! The Pokemon Company just dropped a ton of new logos to celebrate. We already knew about the main 30th anniversary logo with Pikachu, but now they’ve revealed a special logo for every Pokemon ever – seriously, every single one! That includes all the different regional forms and variations too. It’s pretty awesome seeing them all!
The original Pokemon Red and Green games debuted in Japan on February 27, 1996, kicking off a global craze that reached international audiences in 1998. Almost ten years later, Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen arrived as the first updated versions of the classic games, released for the Game Boy Advance. As Pokemon approaches its 30th anniversary in 2026, Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen are getting new versions for the Nintendo Switch, available separately from the Nintendo Switch Online service. The Pokemon Company explained that these relaunches for the Switch are meant to be a fun celebration for fans, despite some initial surprise.
Pokemon Made Over 1,000 Logo Variants for Its 30th Anniversary Campaign
Before the Pokemon Presents presentation, The Pokemon Company used a fun social media campaign to reveal more logos. The official Poke Times Twitter account asked fans to interact with an image and share it. According to translations, the logos shown were based on advertisements appearing in five cities across Japan. Those who participated received a special Pokemon 30th anniversary logo featuring one of the franchise’s many Pokemon (over 1,025 as of the latest generation). While Pikachu’s logo was already revealed, other favorites like Eevee, Venusaur, and Charizard each got their own unique version. Each Pokemon was depicted in a different pose, and the number ’30’ behind them had different colors and designs. Serebii.net collected all the variations thanks to help from fans. As of today, the Poke Times account is still responding to users with a random Pokemon 30th anniversary logo.

Every Pokémon featured on the logos had its own variations over time, like the different regional versions of Meowth seen throughout the series. Some Pokémon even had logos that changed based on gender, color, or specific battle conditions. This included Pokémon that share a common evolutionary line, such as Toedscool and Wiglett. While most Pokémon were included, battle-exclusive forms like Mega Evolutions and Gigantamax Forms were generally left out. However, fans discovered logos for Terapagos in both its regular and Terastal forms, as well as the Origin forms of Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina.
Pokemon Day May Yield More Surprises for Fans
February 27th marks Pokémon’s 30th anniversary, and fans are buzzing with rumors about what The Pokémon Company has planned. Leaks suggest we might get a first look at the next mainline Pokémon games, currently rumored to be called Pokémon Wind and Wave, during a presentation. Besides the already announced Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen remakes, Pokémon Pokopia and Pokémon Champions are also expected to be featured in the Pokémon Presents broadcast. While the company hasn’t revealed much, this upcoming presentation is set to be around 25 minutes long—making it one of the longest Pokémon Presents events ever.
Good news for Pokémon fans! You won’t have to wait until Pokémon Day for a new look at Pokémon Pokopia. Nintendo Treehouse will stream on Tuesday, February 24th, and the show will feature both Pokémon Pokopia and the Switch 2 version of Super Mario Bros. Wonder. It’s going to be an exciting week for anyone interested in what’s next for the Pokémon series.
