Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Mystery Gift Code Will Give Players Free Shiny Soon

Starting in early August, players of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will have the opportunity to acquire Shiny Wo-Chien in their collections through the Mystery Gift feature. This is because the player community collectively surpassed the milestone of defeating the first Shiny Treasures of Ruin Tera Raid boss over three million times.

In the world of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, Wo-Chien is recognized as one of the Ruinous Pokémon, part of the Legendary Treasures of Ruin – a group of four potent creatures that are kept locked away in sanctuaries. Alongside Chien-Pao, Ting-Lu, and Chi-Yu, Wo-Chien holds this special status. Typically, Wo-Chien is a dual-type Pokémon with both Grass and Dark attributes, boasting strong defenses and equipped with moves like Giga Drain, Leaf Storm, and Ruination. Following the July 22 Pokémon Presents broadcast, a Five-Star Tera Raid featuring Shiny Wo-Chien was unveiled shortly after, making Shiny Wo-Chien a Tera-Grass boss at level 75.

Following the utilization of multiple potent Pokemon to conquer the Shiny Wo-Chien Tera Raid challenge, trainers in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will soon receive a reward for their accomplishments. As announced by ComicBook, starting Thursday, August 7, at 8:00 PM Eastern, Shiny Wo-Chien will be distributed via Mystery Gift in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, provided that the collective goal of defeating Shiny Wo-Chien one million times between July 22 and August 3 has been achieved. In other words, trainers from all around the world must have defeated Shiny Wo-Chien at least once to meet this criterion. As reported by Serebii.net, the goal was met well in advance, with over 3.5 million defeats of Shiny Wo-Chien recorded as of July 31. Consequently, trainers can expect to receive Shiny-Wo Chien and some bonus Tera Shard Sets as Mystery Gifts from August 8 to September 30.

At present, we’re unsure about the specific features like level, items, or moves that Shiny Wo-Chien will have upon arrival, but it is set to come in a Cherish Ball. There’s an asterisk next to the victory over Shiny Wo-Chien due to its exclusive method of acquisition. As for now, the only legitimate way to obtain Shiny Wo-Chien in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is through the Mystery Gift distribution. This process requires an internet connection, but it doesn’t necessitate a Nintendo Switch Online subscription. Shiny Wo-Chien will persist in Tera Raid dens until August 3, allowing trainers to confront the Ruinous Pokemon until then.
