If you’re a fan of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, a Walmart+ subscription could be really helpful. Members will get first access to certain new releases, starting with the Pokémon TCG: Phantasmal Flames collection. Because Pokémon cards are so popular and often sell out quickly, this is a great way to make sure you can get the sets you want.
The Pokémon Trading Card Game has been a favorite since the 1990s, but recently, interest in the cards has exploded. This makes it hard for regular players and collectors to find the cards they want, as resellers often buy up all available stock to resell at higher prices. With demand so high, players are looking for any advantage they can get, and this might be one of them.
Walmart+ Subscribers Get Early Chance at Pokemon TCG Sets
Walmart is hosting a Collector Con with special deals on toys, games, and collectibles. For Walmart+ members, this includes early access to new *Pokémon Trading Card Game* releases. Starting October 9th at 7 am Pacific Time, Walmart+ subscribers can order the *Pokémon TCG* Phantasmal Flames Elite Trainer Box, as well as Phantasmal Flames Booster Bundles, a Three-Booster Blister, and the Scarlet and Violet White Flare 3-Pack Tech Sticker Collection.

Walmart+ is a subscription service that offers perks like free shipping, similar to Amazon Prime. It costs $12.95 per month or $98 per year. While there’s a free trial available, those trying it out won’t have access to the early access feature. Walmart+ plans to offer more early access deals and special offers during Black Friday, which could be great for Pokémon Trading Card Game fans.

This new opportunity will likely please some fans, but others may be frustrated. Finding new *Pokemon Trading Card Game* releases is already hard for many, and requiring a subscription for early access could make them even more difficult to get, especially for those unwilling to pay extra. Solving this problem is proving tricky, as we’ve seen recently. Even stores experienced with *Pokemon* demand, like GameStop, have stopped taking pre-orders, and official Pokemon Centers have even canceled in-store sales because of large, unsafe crowds.
