Pokemon TCG Live is celebrating the arrival of Mega Evolution with a new Battle Pass featuring two powerful Pokemon decks. This update marks a significant change for the popular trading card game and brings back Mega Pokemon – powerful versions of classic Pokemon – for the first time since the X & Y series. Players will now have the opportunity to experience these new Mega Pokemon firsthand.
The new Pokemon TCG set will feature powerful Mega Pokemon, with Mega Gardevoir ex and Mega Lucario ex as the stars. More Mega forms, like Venusaur, Mawile, and Latios, will also be included. These Mega Pokemon are even stronger than regular “ex” Pokemon, and opponents will receive three Prize Cards when they defeat them in battle. To celebrate, *Pokemon TCG Live* is offering two free decks featuring these Mega Pokemon.
The latest Battle Pass in *Pokemon TCG Live* lets players earn two free, complete Mega Pokemon decks simply by playing the game during the Mega Evolution period. By starting the Battle Pass, you’ll immediately get a deck centered around Mega Lucario ex, featuring strong new cards like the Solrock and Lunatone pairing, and the Lillie’s Determination Supporter card. As you progress, and halfway through the Battle Pass, you’ll also unlock a Mega Gardevoir ex deck, building on the already popular Gardevoir strategy. Both decks are earned entirely through gameplay and Battle Pass progression – no purchase necessary!

Gardevoir ex has been amazing ever since the Scarlet and Violet set came out, consistently doing well in big tournaments. We even saw a ton of Gardevoir ex decks at the 2025 World Championships – one of them actually *won* the whole thing! Beyond the popular “Mega Evolution” cards, The Pokemon Company is previewing the next set, “Phantasmal Flames,” which will feature Charizard. This new era of the TCG also introduces a special type of card called “Mega Attack Rarity,” which have striking artwork and attack names. The digital game, Pokemon TCG Live, will support the new expansion and offer players a way to compete.
