Pokemon TCG Pocket: Best Pikachu EX Deck

As someone who’s been spinning coins and flipping cards since the days of the original Pokemon Trading Card Game (back when we had to walk through the snow just to get our hands on booster packs!), I can confidently say that my current go-to deck in Pokemon TCG Pocket is a real charm. The Pikachu ex deck has been an absolute game-changer for me, racking up wins left and right online. Just today, it carried me to six victories in a row!

In the Pokemon TCG Pocket game, I’ve been experimenting with various themed decks, yet it’s my Pikachu ex deck that has been delivering the most victories online. Just recently, I engaged in several matches online and managed to win six consecutive games using this deck. While it may not be the ultimate S-tier deck featuring Pikachu ex, it certainly is an impressive one for beginners (at least, as far as my experience goes).

Pikachu Ex Deck Build in Pokemon TCG Pocket

On exburst.dev, I’ve organized my deck as shown in the picture above. Additionally, I will provide a list detailing the cards and their respective booster packs for easy reference. Initially, I considered introducing Zapdos to the mix and replacing one of the Pikachu, but the unpredictability of Zapdos ex’s Thundering Hurricane move is a risk I’m unwilling to take. Instead, with a Pikachu ex and three Electric-type Pokémon on the bench, you can reliably inflict 90 damage.

Pikachu ex Deck Cardlist How to Get / Booster Pack
x2 Pikachu ex Pikachu packs
x 1 Pikachu Pikachu packs
x1 Raichu Pikachu packs
x2 Magnemite Pikachu packs
x2 Magneton Pikachu packs
x2 Blitzle All three packs
x2 Zebstrika All three packs
x1 Potion Obtained in the shop
x2 Poke Ball Obtained in the shop
x2 Professor’s Research Obtained in the shop
x1 Sabrina Charizard packs
x2 Giovanni Mewtwo packs

Some things to take note of when it comes to using this Pikachu ex deck:

  • Always make sure the bench is full of Electric types when Pikachu ex is set to take the active spot. You want to ensure maximum damage.
  • Use Magneton’s ability to get extra Energy just in case Pikachu ex gets kicked out of the active spot, and you need a Pokemon that can Retreat easily.
  • If there are weak/susceptible Pokemon on the opponent’s bench, use Zebstrika’s power to damage them. Sometimes, knocking out a weak, retreated Pokemon is faster than attempting to beat a powerful one in the active zone.
  • Sabrina is a great card when your foe has a strong opponent on the field or if there’s a Pokemon on the opponent’s Bench that you think would be easier to take out.
  • Please watch out for decks with Fighting-type Pokemon. Obviously, this deck might not be fit for that due to the extra damage your Pokemon will take (+20).
