  • New expansion Celestial Guardians with 200+ cards is coming soon.

The Pokemon TCG Pocket game has unveiled the perks for celebrating its six-month milestone, which was launched back in October 2024. Since then, Pokemon TCG Pocket has enjoyed immense popularity.

If you’re new to the topic, it’s important to note that the digital version of the Pokemon Trading Card Game, called Pokemon TCG Pocket, features more straightforward gameplay compared to its physical counterpart. Each player’s deck consists of 20 cards, and a maximum of 50 turns can be taken to secure victory. The main charm of DeNA’s game lies in the cards that players acquire by opening booster packs. So far, two expansions and three mini-sets have been launched: the latest is the Shining Revelry mini-set, which introduced 111 new cards and marked the introduction of shiny Pokemon in Pokemon TCG Pocket. To commemorate six months since its launch, the developers have teased some special gifts that will be accessible soon.

Beginning Tuesday, April 29, at 11 pm PDT, Pokemon TCG Pocket will commence a fresh wave of missions and solo battles in commemoration of six months since its release. Players can engage in solo battles from now until Monday, May 12, at 10:59 PDT to win Promo Pack A Series Vol. 7 boosters as prizes. The primary reward for these packs is a full art Rayquaza EX card. Additionally, by finishing specific missions before Wednesday, May 28, at 10:59 PDT, players can acquire a Shaymin Mythical Pokemon coin and a playmat featuring Charmander, Piplup, Rockruff, and other Pokemon characters. It’s worth mentioning that the additional promotional cards for the solo battle event have yet to be disclosed.

In the one-on-one tournament modes for Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket, participants go head-to-head with an AI opponent in matches ranging from easy to challenging. The victors receive prizes like special card packs as a reward. This particular card is similar to existing ones within the game, but it has unique characteristics and artwork variations. Additionally, it bears a Poke Ball insignia. The coins and playmats are the additional tools for Pokemon TCG Pocket, enhancing the fun of crafting your ideal decks by offering a more immersive experience.

Besides the six-month celebration, DeNA also revealed that a fresh set is coming soon for Pokemon TCG Pocket, dubbed Celestial Guardians. This upcoming expansion will offer over 200 new cards to collect, featuring ex versions of the Legendary Pokemon Solgaleo and Lunala, as well as the first-ever immersive Support card.
