The Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket commenced a fresh drop event on June 4th, featuring the exclusive Necrozma card as its primary prize. Alongside this Psychic-type monster card, the Pokémon TCG Pocket event offers various other cards, hourglasses (event and shinedust), shop tickets, and wonder hourglasses as rewards.
Back in 2016, when I was engrossed in the world of Pokémon with Sun and Moon, I encountered these peculiar creatures known as Ultra Beasts. They were like nothing I’d ever seen before, making them one of the most intriguing additions to the Pokémon universe. These 11 extradimensional beings arrived from Ultra Space, and their design was a stark contrast to that of regular Pokémon. Many of these strange creatures were initially introduced in Sun and Moon, with a few more joining the ranks in 2017 with the release of Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. Characters like Necrozma may not technically be Ultra Beasts, but they share a strong connection with this unique group. The attention these mysterious creatures have garnered is so significant that Pokémon TCG Pocket has organized a special live event to shine the spotlight on them.
The Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket began a drop event on June 4, where participants can acquire the Ultra Necrozma ex card as the primary prize. This event will conclude on June 14, allowing players to further enrich their collections with promotional cards for Dawn Wings Necrozma, Dusk Mane Necrozma, Kartana, Blacephalon, Xurkitree, and Stakataka. Similar to past Pokemon TCG Pocket drop events, cards will be earned by successfully completing solo battles, specifically against decks featuring Necrozma at beginner and intermediate levels, and Ultra Necrozma decks at advanced and expert levels.
New Pokemon TCG Pocket Event Features Ultra Necrozma Ex Card as Reward
- Date: June 4, 2025, to June 14, 2025
- New cards: Ultra Necrozma ex, Dawn Wings Necrozma, Dusk Mane Necrozma, Kartana, Blacephalon, Xurkitree, and Stakataka
The promotional Ultra Necrozma card showcases an impressive gold design by Planeja Tsuji and is only available at this specific event. Meanwhile, the alternate art cards for Kartana, Blacephalon, and Xurkitree are already part of the game, with Kartana and Blacephalon’s illustrations done by Hasuno, while Xurkitree’s artwork comes from Shin Nagasawa. Lastly, the Dawn Wings and Dusk Mane cards, inspired by Necrozma’s fusions, feature artwork by Nagimiso and are exclusive to the new Pokemon TCG Pocket event as well.
Beyond just the drop event, Ultra Beasts stand out as a current highlight due to their appearance in the latest booster pack for the Pokemon Trading Card Game (TCG), titled “Pokemon TCG Pocket: Extradimensional Crisis”. This mini-expansion introduces 103 new cards for players to gather, among them are 19 Pokemon ex cards like the newly introduced Buzzwole immersive. Additionally, players can discover fresh shiny versions of monsters such as Arcanine and Pidgeot, as well as a crown card featuring Nihilego.
