To celebrate its first anniversary, Pokemon TCG Pocket is hosting a special event where players can get promo cards they might have missed. The game is marking the occasion with a new expansion that introduces exciting new gameplay features, free gifts, and more. Recently, Pokemon TCG Pocket added Mega Pokemon with the “Mega Rising” update, along with missions to earn unique cosmetic items. Now, previously released promo cards are becoming available again.
The mobile game Pokemon TCG Pocket often offers unique cards that aren’t available in standard expansion sets. It regularly holds events where players can earn exclusive cards, usually through a feature called Wonder Picks. Sometimes, the game rewards cards for completing tasks during events – for example, players received a Rayquaza ex card for winning 50 battles during the game’s six-month anniversary. Now, a new event is giving players another chance to obtain some of the game’s hardest-to-find cards.
Pokemon TCG Pocket celebrated its first anniversary on Thursday by launching the “PROMO Reissue Event 2025.” This event lets players collect special promo cards originally released during the game’s first year – the “A” series. For a limited time, cards from all volumes of the “Promo-A” set are available. Players can earn tickets by completing in-game missions, allowing them to open Promo Packs. The event runs until November 9th.

The anniversary event for Pokemon TCG Pocket will offer more than just promo cards! Players can get three free packs from the newest expansion, Mega Rising. The game is also redeeming the Advance Tickets originally given out at launch, with a giveaway offering a chance to win up to 1,200 Pack Hourglasses.
After a very successful first year, Pokemon TCG Pocket is gearing up for even more exciting content. The game’s next expansion, called “B1a,” is scheduled to launch on November 25th, following the recent Mega Rising set. Players can also look forward to special Drop Events featuring Pokemon like Mega Pidgeot ex, Psyduck, and Torchic throughout the next month. The developers hope to build on the momentum of the past year and make the second year just as great.
